But in the “real” action scenes — the ones that are real to the characters in The Fall Guy, at least — Colt handles matters with his hands.
“Indiana Jones didn’t need to rely on guns to make a great action movie and I feel like The Fall Guy’s the same,” Leitch says. “We got to create something really fun and action-driven, but that feels fresh and accessible to everybody.”

A Montana man was hunting for shed antlers near Wolf Creek on April 25 when a grizzly bear charged him. The man drew his handgun and shot the bear mid-charge, killing it, according to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.
The man’s identity remains unknown, as the incident is still under investigation by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He was not injured during the encounter and was not carrying bear spray at the time. |

The vast majority of U.S. states allow the open carry of defensive handguns under one provision or another of their individual law. What is interesting is the amount of discussion and debate that this freedom has created among defensive shooters. Some think that open carry is virtually the only way to go. Others like it under certain circumstances, while others think it is a real mistake for the armed citizen. Let’s try to take a look at both sides of the argument. |

Both times, I told Jason to stop; I removed him from the situation to talk about other ways to handle this sort of thing: using your words, walking away, getting an adult to help. I said, “We don’t hit unless there’s no other way to keep ourselves safe.” Both times, he told me his parents said he can’t “start something” but he can “finish it.” When I told my sister and her husband, they confirmed this! “My son will never be in trouble with me for defending himself,” and, “If we don’t teach him to stand up for himself, he’ll be a target for bullies.” |

Authorities in Solano County said no charges will be filed in connection with a deadly Vallejo shooting earlier this year, after it was determined to be in self-defense.
On the night of Feb. 28, officers were called to the area of Alabama and Butte streets following reports of a shooting. Police found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

In an update Friday, police gave an update on the investigation, saying they collected evidence, interviewed witnesses and detained the person responsible for the shooting.
"The Solano County District Attorney's Office reviewed the evidence and deemed this shooting to be in self defense and did not file formal charges," the department said in a statement. |

The most sensible way to reduce suicides in Utah — and nationwide — is to invest in lethal means safety. However, many clinicians are hesitant to talk with their patients about the secure storage of firearms and medications, are skeptical that bringing it up will make any difference and are not adequately trained in lethal means counseling. There are culturally-affirming ways to have these conversations, and doing so can make a difference. These discussions must be empathy-based, respectful of a family’s way of life, collaborative and honest. |

Gorton explained that Bruen hadn’t overturned the principle expressed by the Supreme Court in Heller that “the core Second Amendment right protects ‘bearing arms for a lawful purpose.’”
Gorton concluded that Parsons’ constitutional challenge failed on that basis, saying “for the government to prove that Parsons violated §924(c), it must demonstrate that he possessed a firearm to promote illicit activity. House Democrats approved three anti-gun bills this week which state Rep. Dean Urdahl, R-Acton Township, said will do more to make criminals out of law-abiding citizens than crack down on violent criminals.
The three bills include new laws on storage, requirements for reporting stolen firearms, and a new “trigger activator” definition that may render some commonly used guns illegal. These latest proposals follow last year’s changes Democrats enacted regarding universal background checks and red flag confiscation orders. |

U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) joined Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) in announcing their plan to introduce a Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution to block the Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) interim final rule that prohibits Americans from exercising their Second Amendment rights. AUS district court judge in California granted summary judgment against the state’s one-gun-a-month (OGM) law, finding it unconstitutional.
Plaintiffs including the Second Amendment Foundation and Firearms Policy Coalition had argued the law violated the right to bear arms.
While the state claimed the law did not prevent gun ownership outright, the judge noted it still burdened Second Amendment rights.
Applying the Bruen precedent to require historical justification, the judge determined licensing and tax laws cited by the state were not relevantly similar as they imposed no purchase limits or frequency restrictions.

Colorado can continue to ban the sale of make-it-yourself gun kits that don’t include serial numbers on their components after a federal judge declined to issue a temporary injunction.
The law “does not prevent an individual from buying an unfinished frame or receiver or firearms part kit and in no way infringes upon Plaintiffs’ right to acquire arms,” Judge Gordan Gallagher wrote in his ruling. “Rather, the Statute requires the purchaser to have the frame or receiver serialized by (a federally licensed firearms dealer) and to undergo a background check.”
Those requirements, the judge concluded, don’t infringe on the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. |

A federal judge on Thursday rejected a request from gun rights advocates to block a recent Colorado law prohibiting the possession and transport of certain firearm components not imprinted with a serial number — known as "ghost guns."
To address the proliferation of guns privately assembled from kits or 3-D printers, the General Assembly enacted Senate Bill 279 last year, making it a misdemeanor to possess ghost guns unless the owner obtains a serial number from a licensed firearm dealer and the dealer performs a background check. Multiple violations of the law are felony offenses. |

When American retailers sold more than 1 million new firearms in a single month nearly five years ago many considered it a milestone. Now it has become more of the norm, with April marking the fifty-seventh straight month of guns sales of a million or more.
According to a report from the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the April 2024 NSSF-adjusted National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) figure was just over 1.2 million. That’s a slight decrease from the April 2023 figures of roughly 1.4 million. |
