"Despite original estimates in 1995 that implementation of Canada's gun registry would cost $85 million, cabinet ministers were shocked to learn it has soared to nearly $500 million". This is what the Canadian tax dollar is going toward. |

More about resistance to the new Canadian law:
``I am not a criminal, and I refuse to be treated like one,' said Bruce Hutton, a retired Alberta police officer. ``I am not registering. I am not licensing. If government wants to put me in jail, have at 'er.'
We like Mr. Hutton. He knows what to do in the face of unjust laws. He doesn't "just follow orders."

"The co-sponsor of Chicago's 1983 handgun freeze said Tuesday that the ordinance has been a sham, throwing his weight behind a long-stalled plan to reopen handgun registration in the city."

Rush noted that President Clinton admits the Democrats were outmanuevered by the NRA. Rush stated: "When Wayne LaPierre of the NRA said that he thought Bill Clinton was comfortable with the level of violence in this country because it gave him an opportunity to argue for more gun laws, LaPierre didn't back down in the face of cacophonous reaction to his words. He repeated them even louder!
The lesson to learn from the NRA is that you don't back down." |

The PRK is getting a little interesting. Gun laws up the wazoo and still they can't keep the guns out of the criminals hands. The government of Kalifornia should be charged with murder when inocent people, who cannot defend themselves, get killed by some mad man. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
To have no proud monarch driving over me with his gilt coaches; nor his host of excise-men and tax-gatherers insulting and robbing me; but to be my own master, my own prince and sovereign, gloriously preserving my national dignity, and pursuing my true happiness; planting my vineyards, and eating their luscious fruits; and sowing my fields, and reaping the golden grain: and seeing millions of brothers all around me, equally free and happy as myself. This, sir, is what I long for. -- General Francis Marion, American War of Independence, Georgetown, SC [Source: 'Marion, The Life of Gen. Francis Marion' by M. L. Weems, Ch.18] |
