Americans with their ear to the ground on what's happening in the movement to protect and restore the Second Amendment cannot find a more concentrated gathering of like-minded people sharing a broad and information-rich weekend than at the SAF/CCRKBA Gun Rights Policy Conference. From last year's GRPC, I came away energized and enthusiastic, motivated and inspired, re-dedicated and re-committed, refreshed, and invigorated to continue to work for the restoration of the Republic.

The Gun Rights Policy Conference is the place where hundreds, even thousands of gun rights leaders and dedicated activists come together to explore and formulate policies in the areas of:

• current legislative events, state, national and local

• strategy: what is working and what is missing in the movement, and what are we doing about it

• inspire and motivate one another to take heart, to look ahead, to think outside the box

• meet the people who've heretofore been but a name, a voice on the phone, or someone on the other end of an email address

• and create a sense of purpose and direction within your own sphere of influence

This year, gun rights policies will be discussed in detail in the areas of:

• youth violence

• gun show regulation

• "smart guns"

• concealed carry legislation

• city lawsuits

• legal scholarship

• state and local action

• plenty of other things you as a liberty advocate would do well to be a part of

This year will be the event where the critical 2002 elections will be discussed in preview for what is to come.
