Help Needed at the Ohio Statehouse this Wednesday, 8/15

The Ohio House Civil and Commercial Law sub-committee is going to meet this Wednesday (8/15/01) for what will probably be their last hearing on HB 274, Concealed Carry Permit bill sponsored by Rep. Jim Aslanides.

This hearing will be held in Room #313 of the Ohio Statehouse at 2:30pm and is open to ALL INTERESTED PARTIES.

At the last hearing one of the anti-gun people played the ‘race card’ saying that she hasn’t seen any blacks or Hispanics on our side of the isle.

We’re trying to get as many pro-gun people as we can to attend the hearing this week. We’d especially appreciate your attendance if you’re not in the category the other side refers to as ‘angry white males’.

If you or a friend can make it we’d love to have you attend. We need people who would like to address the committee with their own testimony AS WELL AS those who feel more comfortable just filling a seat in support of the cause.

If you’re opposed to this bill because it takes your right and turns it into a state-granted privilege then say so. If you just want to see changes made; like not requiring fingerprints, fees, etc. then say that (be prepared to offer specific ideas of how to improve the bill if you have them).
