A DeKalb County man held a suspected burglar of a neighbor's house at gunpoint Thursday until police arrived and arrested the intruder, police said.

A DeKalb police SWAT team was called to 1700 North Columbia Drive about 10:30 a.m. after a neighbor reported a burglary in progress, DeKalb dispatchers said.

A neighbor saw one of the burglars and detained him for a short time at gunpoint, Maj. Darryl Farley said.

No one was injured.

Three other suspected burglars escaped during the same incident, Farley said.

Police cars sealed off North Columbia Drive, a residential street that intersects Columbia Drive near Memorial Drive. SWAT officers searched the house and the surrounding area.

Police would not identify the suspect or the neighbor who held him until police arrived. Farley said the suspect was not armed.
