Man Kills Intruder

Investigators say a Phoenix father was
protecting his family when he shot and killed an intruder at his home near 38th
Street and Thunderbird Road.
According to police, a man in his early 20s
began knocking on the door of his hone around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. The family
inside did not recognize the man so they would not open the door, but somehow
the man forced his way into the house.
The homeowner then fired one shot from his
pistol hitting the intruder in the chest. The intruder was pronounced dead at
the scene. The family of six including four kids who were inside at the time of
the shooting were not hurt.
