A robbery suspect was fatally shot by a Long
Beach liquor store clerk, Long Beach police said Saturday.
Two suspects-one of whom was reportedly armed
with a handgun-confronted a clerk at a liquor store late Friday night, said Long
Beach police spokesman David Marander.
The clerk drew a gun and shot one man, who died
at the scene; the other man fled.
The name of the dead man, who was in his 20's,
was not released.
Anyone with information about the crime was
asked to contact Long Beach homicide detectives Paul Edwards and Brian McMahon
at 562-570-7244.
