Handgun trumps knife in
attempted robbery

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS -- A convenience store
clerk told police that a man about 19 years old tried to rob the store.
The clerk said the man tried to steal a 12-pack
of beer but he grabbed the robber and wrestled him outside the store and onto
the pavement.
He said a vehicle pulled up and a second
would-be robber jumped out of the car and waved a knife.
The clerk said the two men left after he pulled
out his Glock handgun, which police said the clerk had a registered license to
carry.
