HOUSTON, TEXAS -- Police investigate death during alleged break-in Police are
investigating the death of a man who allegedly broke into a residence in
southwest Houston early Wednesday.
Keith Warren Hines, 22, was shot about 4:30 a.m. at an apartment in the 8100
block of Creekbend.
Investigators said Hines and an unidentified man and woman forced their way
into the apartment during an apparent robbery attempt. Alvin Allen, 24, who was
in the apartment, shot at the intruders with a .357-caliber Magnum pistol. The
two other suspects fled.
