Abita Man Says He Shot and Killed Intruder

as: ABITA, LOUISIANA -- A man was shot and killed during an apparent robbery attempt in the Abita subdivision overnight.
An elderly resident of the subdivision said he awoke to find and stranger in his home and he says he shot the suspect in self-defense.
The incident is under investigation. No charges have been filed.
