Wayne County, Michigan -- A 24-year-old Detroit man was shot and killed while tussling with a woman in a parked car Thursday, police said.

Police were called to the 18900 block of Huntington, on the northwest side, at around 6:45 p.m. There they found Lorenzo Shaw lying in the street, dead from a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Sgt. Ricardo Moore said it appears Shaw and a 26-year-old Detroit woman had a sexual encounter in the car and were wrestling over the gun when it fired.

The woman told police Shaw had raped her. She was being questioned Thursday night.

[Later reports confirmed that this was a justified shooting based on the evidence, and no charges were filed.]
