"On Wednesday, Loretta Lynch ... will raise her right hand in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee and swear to tell the whole truth to lawmakers during her nomination hearing for attorney general of the United States."

"Following in the footsteps of Attorney General Eric Holder, Lynch will be forced to tackle a series of complicated, corrupt and highly controversial topics when she takes her seat on Capitol Hill. ..." ...

"... Lastly, an issue that certainly needs to be addressed during Lynch’s hearing are recent revelations that DOJ attorneys defrauded a federal court and intimidated a witness in Dobyns v. USA. ..." ...

"David Codrea helped break the 'Fast and Furious' gun-running plot, and so it should be not surprise that he’s breaking the news of what appears to be an even bigger scandal alleging a criminal conspiracy at the top levels of Obama’s Justice Department:" ...

"Curiously—and almost certainly not coincidentally—Deputy Attorney General James Cole resigned and Attorney General Eric Holder announced his resignation at the same time that Judge Allegra alleged that DOJ committed fraud against the court and threatened witnesses. The DOJ’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) then refused to investigate the attorneys charged with fraud and the allegations of witness intimidation." ...

"Katie Pavlich published a great piece today. So have Tim Stellar, David Hardy, David Codrea, Mark Walters and Mike Vanderbough in days previous. I understand another piece will publish tomorrow in a major newspaper. I do not know if it will be as scathing as those published by these reporters. Time will tell."

"Thank you to each. Not thanks for helping me. That is not their jobs nor would they compromise their investigative integrity or journalistic ethics to do a favor. The 'thanks' are for covering the story, doing so unbiased, citing facts and evidence and mostly for having the courage to report on this administration when the national mainstream media wants to turn a blind eye. ..." ...

Unsealed Dobyns files look bad for DOJ

"Retired ATF agent Jay Dobyns’ lawsuit against the federal government alleged they broke a settlement deal with him and mistreated him, in part by calling him a suspect in the 2008 arson of his own Tucson home."

"Newly unsealed documents in his case suggest that the government misbehaved during the trial in 2013, leading to DOJ attorneys being barred from filing further documents in the case. More eerily, the misbehavior may have extended to surveillance of Dobyns’ Phoenix attorney even up into this month."

"... You can’t read the few filings that have been unsealed in the case without wondering why the Justice Department is going to such extremes and spending so much on what is, at base, a relatively minor contractual dispute that could have ended years ago." ...

"As always happens in these elections, various groups and individuals are making recommendations that may or may not coincide with Nominating Committee selections, and once again, several readers have written and asked who I’m endorsing. Right now, no one, and unless I get some information beyond the sketchy bios provided for each candidate, I’m likely to be part of the vast majority of eligible members who sits things out, not because I don’t care, but because no one will have earned my vote." ...

"The University of Tennessee hosted a gun control debate January 21, 2015. The debaters were Juan Pacheco, a former gang member and speaker for the Peace Warriors Network, and Glen Caroline, Director of the NRA Grassroots Division of the NRA Institute for Legislative Action (NRA ILA)."

"TTAG doesn’t pull any punches. That’s why readers trust our articles and reviews. As you might expect, our no-holds-barred firearms and firearms gear reviews don’t sit well with everyone. Especially manufacturers whose products aren’t all they should be. Three years ago, Bushmaster told RF to take a hike from their SHOT Show booth when TTAG’s jefe asked a Freedom Group suit about their rifle’s worrying tendency to go full-auto. This year, it was Remington’s turn to eject a TTAG writer from their booth . . ." ...

"How long before anti-gunners start pushing to regulate 'sniper rifles,' which might be that bolt-action deer hunting rifle in the gun cabinet, the one with the black or camouflage composite synthetic stock and a scope sight? Such rifles fire cartridges that are far more powerful, and certainly more lethal to big game animals, at greater distances than the so-called 'high power assault rifles' panned at every opportunity by the mainstream press." ...

"We, as citizens of this great country, need to realize that we are responsible for our own safety and well-being. When one is being victimized by a thug, the first five seconds of that encounter are absolutely the most important. I found that out eight and a half years ago when I was the victim of a home invasion. Because I was caught off-guard, I became a victim. The Freedom's Doorway of the museum is graced by a quote from Charlton Heston, 'The doorway to freedom is framed by the muskets that stood between a vision of liberty and absolute anarchy at a place called Concord Bridge.'"

... "But despite their formidable powers of self-defense, members of the firearms industry are a nervous lot — and not without reason. Two years ago, after Newtown and the 2012 election, the show anxiously awaited President Obama’s executive actions on gun control. A year ago, the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) ... promised nothing but trouble. This year, executive actions were back on the agenda: with the midterm elections now past, the industry fears there’s nothing to stop the president from indulging his anti-firearms instincts."

"When Korth announced its PRS along with this great video a bit over a year ago, I was certainly intrigued. However, a fixed-barrel 1911 with a semi-locked, roller-delayed blowback action also seemed like a bit of a gimmick born out of an engineer’s wet dream as a showcase of talent. I also assumed the price would be astronomical. When we saw Korth at the SHOT Show range day with a PRS along with the new Sky Marshal, a 9mm revolver that doesn’t require moon clips, we knew it was hands-on time . . ." ...

"At the Shot Show this year, I was working away in the media room and was chatting with Destinee of FateofDestinee fame when I got the call. Richard Davis was at the SHOT Show and willing to talk. Richard Davis is legendary to gun culture thousands of doctors. He invented modern soft body armor. Armor so light weight and comfortable that officers would routinely wear it. Armor that defeated the most common projectiles.
