"Retired ATF Agent and NY Times bestselling author Jay Dobyns joined Armed American Radio host Mark Walters and journalist David Codrea Sunday 1-25-2015 to discuss the federal judge in Dobyns' lawsuit against the government. Bombshell revelations heard during the broadcast show previously sealed court orders alleging ATF and Department of Justice lawyers had committed, in the judge's own words, 'fraud upon the court.'" ...

... "'Murthy told the panel that his views on the issue [of ‘gun control’] will not come into play if he is confirmed,' The Washington Post reported. 'I do not intend to use my office as surgeon general as a bully pulpit on gun control,' he said, adding that his position is based on experience treating victims of gun violence.'"

"To paraphrase another great Democrat, it depends on what the meaning of the word 'intend' is. Because who actually believed that for a second?" ...

... "The whole experience gives me pause. How many times have you been at the range and looked down your nose at somebody shooting a HiPoint or Jennings? How many times have you silently thought 'idiot' when someone fumbles with their gun? How many times have you looked askance at shooters using the 'wrong' grip? I know I do all of those things almost every time I'm at a public shooting range ... but I won't do it anymore. What if those 'idiots' are really just people like this woman ... inexperienced, poor, and without anyone to teach them how to do things right? By the luck of the draw, this woman pulled up a chair next to a professional firearms instructor at the range. ..." ...

"The [CSGV] yesterday launched an effort on its website and via Facebook to have Emily Miller, chief investigative reporter for WTTG, the Washington, D.C. Fox News affiliate, fired from her job for appearing at a gun rights rally several days ago in Virginia."

"CSGV said today... that more than 3,000 people have signed an on-line petition demanding that WTTG general manager Patrick Paolini pull the plug on Miller ..." ...

"Could it be that the gun prohibition lobby simply wants to silence Miller as an effective, and credible, voice? After all, it is being pointed out today that CSGV isn’t complaining that Everytown for Gun Safety ... is supporting a May 29-30 conference on 'how to correctly report on guns and gun violence' in Phoenix." ...

"The home page of The Coalition Against Gun Violence displays a flag that states, 'The United States Leads The Industrialized World in Gun Deaths,', with a button below it that says 'Act Now.' One would expect that if you clicked the 'Act Now' tab, in addition to being able to contribute, you might get some type of story, statement, or statistics that back up that rather bold statement. But what is all too commonplace in the world of sensationalistic anti-Second Amendment organizations is that there is absolutely nothing on their entire website to back up that claim."

"Unfortunately for the deceivers, we know that gun accidents have been steadily declining for decades for both children and adults, and are now at all-time historical lows, even as firearms ownership in the United States is at an all-time high both in terms of raw numbers (more than 300 million firearms) and in terms of the percentage of the population believed to be armed (more than 100 million), and the number of permitted concealed carriers (more than 11 million)." ...

"Musician Ted Nugent thinks television host Bryant Gumbel doesn't understand guns and should have done his research before making anti-gun statements in an upcoming magazine article."

"... Nugent writes that America's gun problem doesn't really exist. Rather, he said the breakdown of the American family is what's to blame for the violence."

"'Mr. Gumbel is free to wallow in his ignorance, hate and lies that the NRA are pigs and somehow responsible for criminal violence,' Nugent writes. 'However, if he ever decides to be objective, do a little research, be honest and takes the time to assess the underlying cause for the gun-related mayhem occurring in our urban areas, I'm sure he'll point his outrage at a different target ...'" ...

As I’ve mentioned in a previous post, women in Utah and Washington State are leading the surge in concealed carry permits. Young women in Colorado have contributed to boosting the state’s rates of gun ownership."

"The remarks, made during a conversation with Texas Tribune Editor-in-Chief Evan Smith, largely echoed statements he’s made in the past that the legislative will might be lacking to pass open carry. The gun will fire for rightful users, but for everybody else —including children and intruders—it would be useless. This is not a pie-in-the-sky idea. A handful of manufactures have come up with various models, some using biometrics like fingerprint identification, others radio-frequency technology. And yet, Schutzler marvels, 'Nobody’s selling the stuff!'"
