Crime has gone wild in San Bernardino, CA, and unfortunately for residents, this isn’t limited to working girls.

It’s so bad that public officials are recommending residents “load their guns” to protect themselves from violent crime, including a murder rate that’s up 50% this year thanks to slashed budgets and layoffs at the local police department.

"If, as reported by Gallagher, the agents investigating the Columbus trafficking case knew of a Fast and Furious tie-in from over two years before that testimony, and had actually 'refer[red] to the Fast and Furious investigation by number,' and if the Luna Tea Party Patriots restatement of the pretrial proceedings is an accurate representation, the statements given by Valles would appear to pose a conflict and merit closer examination for, at minimum, context."

Well, it’s long overdue.

Now that the election is over and Barack Hussein Obama doesn’t have to worry about his Fast and Furious buddies breaking bad on him, he’s cleaned house.

Well, sort of.

Some of the key players have been dismissed, but they get to keep their full pensions.

We suppose hush money needs to be paid.

The city of Worcester, Massachusetts is asking citizens to bring their weapons to the police department next weekend as part of the city's annual "Goods for Guns Buyback Program." In return for the guns, the city will offer gift certificates, and - a free flu shot. ...
Since the program began in 2002, "Goods for Guns" has collected approximately 2,200 guns. Last year 40 guns were collected by the police department. Deputy Chief McGinn said guns that are turned in are destroyed.
The program allows individuals to anonymously turn in "unwanted and unloaded" guns to the police department. In return, citizens are presented with a Wegman's gift certificate. The value of the gift depends on the type of gun.

From our good friends at the Illinois State Rifle Association.

URGENT ALERT – YOUR IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED

SCHEME TO BAN AND CONFISCATE MOST OF YOUR GUNS WILL BE UP FOR A VOTE IN THE HOUSE THIS WEEK!

As many of you know, Governor Quinn gutted a pro-gun bill, SB-681, and turned it into an “Assault Weapon Ban.”

Beginning Monday, December 3rd, call your state representative and politely tell him or her that you are a law-abiding Illinois gun owner and you do not support the Governor’s plan to ban and confiscate your lawfully purchased firearms. Advise your representative to VOTE TO OVERRIDE THE GOVERNOR’S VETO OF SB-681. The phones will be busy, continue calling until you get through to someone.

FoxSports, the network that won’t accept firearms-related advertisements for UFC events, once again has appeared on our radar for small-minded public commentary from one of its bigoted personalities.

Jason Whitlock who once tweeted “Some lucky lady in NYC is gonna feel a couple inches of pain tonight” in reference to NBA star Jeremy Lin scoring a career-high 38 points for the New York Knicks, has offered similarly brilliant analysis to the recent murder-suicide involving the Kansas City Chiefs football player who murdered his girlfriend before whacking himself at the team’s training area.

Whitlock doesn’t blame the murderer.

No, Whitlock blames the Second Amendment instead.

Guns Save Life is encouraging its members to sign up for a Curios and Relics Federal Firearms License. Unlike the retail gun dealer federal licenses, the C&R license is easy and inexpensive to get and it doesn’t have nearly the regulations associated with it!

Why should you sign up for a C&R license? It offers access to fine, usually used firearms at wholesale prices through distributors without going through a traditional retail dealer, and the guns are shipped directly to your door. There’s also special opportunities available only to FFL holders and dealers as well.

Many C&R dealers refer to themselves as “Crufflers” and really and truly enjoy the ability to acquire historical firearms at bargain prices without the hassle...

Welcome to the Windy City, USA, home of Illinois’ most stringent gun control.

In Chicago handguns are effectively banned and long guns are heavily restricted. Only the affluent are able to navigate the onerous and expensive process to register them after attending expensive safety-training classes, rendering a vast majority of that city’s residents unable to enjoy the proven benefits of lawful firearm ownership that many hundreds of thousands of Illinoisans outside of Cook County enjoy.

Did we mention Illinoisans outside of Cook County enjoy a *much* lower violent crime rate?

Last night, in Chicago – the home of Illinois strictest gun control – there was a quadruple-, a triple-, a double shooting and a bunch of singles.

For some people the question of self-defense, especially with deadly force, raises troubling moral and religious issues. As a Southern Baptist pastor and former US Army infantryman, I have fielded many such concerns from church goers as well as members of the general public who are concerned about the ethical ramifications of taking another person’s life, regardless of the circumstances. While many authors who are more qualified to do so than I have touched on the legal concerns that one should consider before making the decision to defend life, liberty and in very rare circumstances, property with whatever force is necessary to repel an attacker, I may be more qualified to speak on the ethical concerns that will undoubtedly arise...

Authorities say a man involved in an attack at a community college and at another location in central Wyoming that left three people dead, including himself, used a bow-and-arrow in one of the slayings and was the son of one of the victims.

Casper Police Chief Chris Walsh said Saturday that 25-year-old Christopher Krumm, of Vernon, Conn., first stabbed 42-year-old Heidi Arnold about two miles southwest of Casper College on Friday morning.

Krumm then went to the college and shot his father, 56-year-old computer science instructor James Krumm, in the head with the bow-and-arrow in front of a group of students before stabbing himself with a large knife.

A former deputy was sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted of stealing guns from the evidence room.

Judge Rayburn Nall read the sentence of four years in prison for Luton, who pleaded guilty to stealing guns out of an evidence room. "It's a tragedy really, it's hard to understand how this could happen but it did," says Sheriff Keith Gary.

Earlier, Luton's doctor from Dallas, Dr. Shilpa Chitnis, testified impulse control problems are a side effect of medication he was taking for Parkinson's disease.

An Alabama judge set $200,000 bonds Friday for three teenagers charged with felony murder in the death of 17-year-old girl who was allegedly helping them burglarize fishing camps when she was shot by a homeowner.

Summer Moody, 17, was with the three 18-year-old men -- Scott Byrd, Dylan Tyree and Daniel Parnell -- on April 15 when she was shot in the head by a man confronting the group "as they committed a series of burglaries on Gravine Island," according to the Baldwin County District Attorney's office.

Should veterans deemed too mentally incompetent to handle their own financial affairs be prevented from buying a gun?

The issue, for a time last week, threatened to become the biggest sticking point in a $631 billion defense bill for reshaping a military that is disengaging from a decade of warfare.

Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., sought to amend the bill to stop the Veterans Affairs Department from putting the names of veterans deemed too mentally incompetent to handle their finances into the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, which prohibits them from buying or owning firearms.

Whether or not the Founders established a right to own assault weapons for recreational use – they certainly said nothing about ammunition being immune from the tax code. What was a joke not too long ago doesn’t sound like that bad of an idea now:

Do you think that is an alarmist headline? Well, I am not the one saying this. Law enforcement authorities all over the country are telling citizens that they can no longer deal with all the crime and that people need to lock their doors and prepare to defend their families. Just recently, the city attorney of San Bernardino, California told citizens to "lock their doors and load their guns" because there is not enough money to pay for adequate police protection any longer.

I used to dream that someday I would make a fortune, retire from whatever business occasioned the fortune, and endow what I would call the Second Amendment Litigation Trust. The sole purpose of this trust would be to finance Second Amendment attorneys to prosecute litigation designed to result in judicial decisions affirming the Constitutional right of individuals to keep and bear arms.

A group called the Second Amendment Firearms Experience has plans to open a gun-training center on 900 acres of land near Colorado 66 and Weld County Road 17.

The range would be used by law enforcement and the general public, according to SAFE.

"This really is about safety," said Ronald Abramson, SAFE's managing partner and chief firearms instructor. "A lot of people own firearms, but not enough people train with them, or train in situations that resemble someone being in a state of threat."

"Has an independent investigation been conducted into what role Paula Burnett played, if any, in her husband obtaining sealed federal wiretap information? If so, who conducted the investigation?"

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
Some of the worst abuses of government force in recent years were precipitated by technical and victimless gun-law violations. For example, the BATF claimed that the Branch Davidians possessed machine guns without paying the required federal tax and filling in the proper registration forms. So a tax case worth less than $10,000 led to a 76-man helicopter, machine gun, and grenade assault on a home in which 2/3 of the occupants were women and children. — Dave Kopel and Dr. Michael S.
