The campaign season has begun. Without exception, the Democrat candidates for president have demonized US gun owners. Facts don’t matter because gun-owners are the minority we’re supposed to hate.

Does that make sense?

When the H9 from Hudson Manufacturing first released it made a big splash. There was a lot of talk about how the H9 would be the flattest shooting handgun because of its unique design. Early models did have some issues but bugs are to be expected with new platforms. I recently picked up a more recently produced model to see if the hype was real and to see if the kinks had been worked out.

Sergeant First Class Kai Waters faces a felony assault charge in connection to a road rage incident in Elizabethtown, Ky., earlier this year, local station WAVE 3 reported.

The incident ended with Waters’ arrest after she stabbed a woman she claims followed her to a gas station and attacked her.

Although Elizabethtown Police have painted her as the aggressor, Waters said she only acted in self-defense.

“This whole situation has pretty much destroyed my whole career and my whole life,” she told the station.

A man was shot inside a MetroPCS on Sunbeam Road while trying to rob the store around 5:30 p.m., the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says.

JSO says the suspect fled after being shot, but was shortly taken to the hospital.

Police did not say whether the shooter was an employee or customer of the store. Brian Alvarenga, who works as a barber at Kut Kingz nearby, said an employee shot the gun in self defense.

A law enacted last year allows some classroom teachers to volunteer to carry weapons after they undergo training and psychological evaluations in districts that adopt the “guardian program.” But those teachers also have to have a role outside the classroom, such as an athletic coach. The bill being considered would allow any teacher to participate, and that frightens Democrats.

Secrecy, Self-Dealing, and Greed at the NRA

LaPierre is right that the NRA is troubled; in recent years, it has run annual deficits of as much as $40 million. It is not unusual for nonprofits to ask prospective donors to help forestall disaster. What is unusual is the extent to which such warnings have become the central activity of the NRA. Even as the association has reduced spending on its avowed core mission — gun education, safety, and training — to less than 10 percent of its total budget, it has substantially increased its spending on messaging. The NRA is now mainly a media company, promoting a lifestyle built around loving guns and hating anyone who might take them away.

The Wyoming Supreme Court has agreed to review a murder case dismissed on the basis of the state's expanded self-defense law.

The court's public docket filed Tuesday showed the court will take up the Wyoming attorney general's request to review a lower court decision to dismiss a first-degree murder case against Jason T. John.

Thanks to NRA members and Second Amendment supporters who contacted their state Senators in opposition, Senate Bill 978 has been sent to the Oregon Senate Committee on Rules instead of directly to the Senate floor for a vote. While in the Committee on Rules, however, the bill is likely to be amended and could potentially include new provisions. It’s imperative that you continue to contact your state Senator and urge them to OPPOSE SB 978.

The Iowa legislature have recently approved a bill that permits students to carry stun guns on public campuses.

Currently, it is legal throughout the state for anyone over the age of 18 to carry a weapon producing a “non-projectile high voltage pulse” to immobilize a person, according to ABC-affiliate station KCRG.

The legislature want to allow the stun guns on public college and university campuses, which is creating a growing concern that students may use the devices on each other for fun and not self-defense.

PA: Pittsburgh Residents Seek Preliminary Injunction Against Ban on Standard Capacity Magazines

With support from the NRA, gun owners challenging Pittsburgh’s ban on publicly carrying loaded magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds filed a motion today seeking a preliminary injunction. If the motion is granted, an injunction would prohibit Pittsburgh from enforcing its ban while the case is pending.

Although Pittsburgh has labeled the magazines it wants to prohibit “large capacity,” they come standard with many of the nation’s most popular handguns and rifles and are overwhelmingly used for self-defense and other lawful purposes.

Enacted right after the Democrats' stunning affront to the Constitution in H.R.8, where innocently handing a gun to a friend would become a felony (a crimeless act), House Bill 1112, passed in the House on 2/28/19, adds lengthy delays to legally shopping at retail, to cover for law-enforcement shortcomings. JPFO denounced this attempt to further burden innocent citizens without focusing instead on armed criminals who cause mayhem and chaos on our streets. Even if identified, criminals in the new plan go free. The bad law helped move JPFO's symbolic Gun Confiscation Clock ahead by two minutes, to just 12 minutes to midnight.

In an 86-page decision in March, U.S. District Judge Roger T. Benitez prevented the state of California from banning large capacity magazines for semiautomatic firearms. In the process, the judge demonstrated both the reflexive gun worship associated with the National Rifle Association and why the NRA’s grip on President Donald Trump – and some of the federal judges appointed by him -- promises to wreak havoc for years to come.

Rather, the difficulty stems from an inability to perform when the stakes are high or to use your equipment and proven performance in practice. What is an otherwise present and effective skill set seems to escape you every time you enter a event. During competition, you feel nervous, make stupid mistakes, get easily distracted and encounter a perpetual series of potential roadblocks that inevitably stand in the way of winning. Sometimes, even though practice went well, you want to pack up and go home before getting called to the firing line during a match.

At any distance, there’s no match for Savage’s new MSR 15 Long Range. The feature-rich modern sporting rifle is purpose-built to make long shots count with the kind of pinpoint precision other platforms can’t touch. This popular long-range model was introduced to dealers in 2018, additional shipments continue to feed the marketplace.

Savage engineers tuned barrel length specifically for the 224 Valkyrie cartridge to achieve peak accuracy at extreme range. Plus, the MSR 15 Long Range barrel is topped with a two-port muzzle brake mounted with Savage’s proprietary taper-lock interface. The brake allows shooters to adjust recoil impulse and stabilize the muzzle for faster, more accurate follow-up shots.

So, bottom line: if the Democrats/socialists get their way, the lives of Americans on the right and left must change to conform. And that’s the point, isn’t it? If they could, the neo-left would control all aspects of an American’s life: healthcare, nutrition, housing, education, environment, transportation, self-defense, etc.

Buttigieg’s framing of the gun-control issue, which conflates the semi-automatic rifles available to civilians with the fully automatic rifles distributed to service-members, echoes Representative Eric Swalwell’s call for a federal ban on so-called “weapons of war,” which he believes is necessary to reduce mass shootings.

The vote Wednesday was 111-2 in favor of the bill, which specifies that medical personnel could only carry guns if they have a concealed weapons permit and are assigned to law enforcement units such as SWAT teams. They would have to undergo firearms training and training in the law enforcement agency's use-of-force policies.

The medical professional would have no duty to retreat and could use deadly force only for self-defense or the defense of others. The measure would apply to a paramedic, physician or osteopathic physician assigned to a tactical law enforcement unit.

AL: Dem state senator: Second Amendment advocates have ‘mental problems’

During the Senate Judiciary Committee’s public hearing on a constitutional carry bill on Wednesday, a Democratic state senator accused Second Amendment advocates of wanting people with mental illnesses to be able to purchase and possess firearms, leading the senator to assert that these same advocates themselves have “some mental problems.”

State Sen. Gerald Allen’s (R-Tuscaloosa) SB 4 would get rid of the requirement that a gun owner has to have a permit to carry a lawfully owned firearm. It would not affect any existing legal requirements for someone to lawfully obtain that firearm.

Recently, I wrote an article about my best 9mm pistols and almost all of them were priced at least $500 and up. The same applies to most of my top carry guns analyzed in the second edition of my handguns book. No pistols in either list cost less than $400. Well, several folks, including several new shooters, commented that my list is a helpful list. But added that they are looking for a very good reliable 9mm budget pistol made by a reputable manufacturer that is value-priced less than $300.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
Foolish liberals who are trying to read the Second Amendment out of the Constitution by claiming it's not an individual right or that it's too much of a public safety hazard don't see the danger in the big picture. They're courting disaster by encouraging others to use the same means to eliminate portions of the constitution they don't like. — Alan Dershowitz
