Starting in September, Texans will be able to legally use brass knuckles for self-protection.

Gov. Gregg Abbott signed House Bill 446 over the Memorial Day weekend, making it lawful to carry things like brass knuckles, wild kat keychains and clubs for self-defense.

State Rep. Joe Moody filed the legislation, saying too many people were being charged with a crime for owning the self-defense tool, the Texas Standard reported.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has decided not to file charges against a North Hollywood man who previously was suspected in the killing of two other men at a West Hills park, saying the case lacked enough evidence to prosecute, officials said Wednesday.

The DA’s office also said evidence shows the man may have fired on the men out of self-defense. They also mentioned doubts about the credibility of witnesses questioned by detectives.

The clerk handled himself well in a situation where his life was at risk and now he’s being punished for it. After a gun was pulled out of self-defense the robber immediately apologized after realizing the mistake he had made. If the clerk hadn’t been armed and taken reasonable actions to defend himself, people could have been seriously hurt. According to Plaid Pantry, Kristopher Follis violated company policy and is now out of a job because he protected his own life.

Do you hike, bike, travel, hunt, fish, or any other number of activities? Do you carry a handgun for self-defense? If so, carry a good flashlight. The statistics indicate approximately 60% of all confrontations occur in dim light conditions. That does not necessarily mean complete darkness, but rather diminished lighting to the point where your ability to identify the threat is jeopardized.

New York City bans taking your licensed sidearm out of the city, for any reason, and their local courts have approved of this law. After a nine-year vacuum on gun cases at the High Court, this is the perfect one to bring—straight forward, severe, a blatant violation on the right to bear arms, outrageous on its face, a raw exercise of uncontrolled power. Controversially decided in two lower courts—against the civil right to arms—that’s the nub of the case. Can lower courts operate outside strict guidelines the High Court itself has set? Can lower courts write their own law?

Brazilian gun laws are some of the strictest in the world. President Jair Bolsonaro started to reform the administration of the laws in 2019. He did this by using his power of Presidential decrees. This changes the rules of how the law is administered. Much of the abuse under the law was through the administrative rules. Changes to the law must come through the Congress, those changes have not been enacted yet.

Because most Americans do not read Portuguese, Brazilian lawyer and licensed Professional Shooter, César Mello, made a youtube video, in English, to educate the rest of the world about Brazilian gun laws, their history, and what may be expected next.

“If you live in a state like Texas, if the law in Texas is open carry, so be it,” he adds. “If you live in Pennsylvania where they are more stringent and they don't want you to be able to have a gun other than in your own premises or under lock and key or you have to do a background check, then that's up to them to decide.”

When we are discussing the present situation, to include how to defeat the long game being used by anti-Second Amendment extremists, one big thing we need to do is to understand that the fight has shifted. We’re no longer just fighting the normal battle on political and legislative fronts. The fight has now expanded to cultural outlets, corporate boardrooms, Silicon Valley censorship, and social stigmatization. It is now a full-spectrum fight.

“Only in America,” Cuomo tweeted in response to a National Rifle Association video of Corban sharing about the night she was suffocated and raped in her dorm room at age 20.
