“In most states you can go to a gun show or buy a gun over the internet, without a background check and it just makes it easy for criminals and people who are dangerously ill to get firearms when they shouldn't. Hey, I’m a gun owner. I own a lot of guns, I’m a big supporter of the second amendment, the same time, I don't see why we can't make it harder for criminals to get guns, we should be able to do that,” Kelly said.
Kelly says universal background checks have been adopted in eight states, and their organization “Americans for Responsible Solutions” is working with dozens of others. |

Looking for a solution to a problem that does not exist.
Criminals don't buy their guns at gun shows. They steal them or buy them on the black market.
These so called universal background checks aren't going to stop one criminal gun purchase. They will only inconvenience law abiding citizens. |
