"Israel will today submit a request for $14 billion in economic aid to U.S. National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice. President George Bush is expected to quickly approve the request-$4 billion in defense aid and U.S. guarantees for $10 billion-with minor changes, Israeli sources said." ------- "The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations, is, in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible." | Why are we sending OUR money over there or anywhere else while we have starving, homeless people RIGHT HERE in each of our OWN cities? Let us take care of OUR OWN FIRST! Then consider sending money outside the country. This is NOT fair to our children. Wake Up America! |

I know America has long been Israels protector, and Israels always on the news, and no one in America gives a crap any more, becouse their on the news all the time. I dont understand why our Gov. is giving 14 million to a country no one in America cares about. If some one took a poll, or vote, they would quickly see Americans are sick and tired of hearing about Israel on the New's.

I do understand that Israel get's the largest share of the US foreign-aid budget...but we also need to end free monetary gifts to ALL nations. Not only could we use these BILLIONS of dollars at home. But also, by now most of us realize that we are being lied to...we were not attacked because "they hate our freedom".

Many Christians think it is their God given duty to protect and defend Israel thus America is engaging in yet another Holy War as the Christians around 1000 AD to bring the pagens under our heal.

Well, lets see. Most of the Arab countries hate us. All of the Arab countries hate Israel. If you put any stock in what the Bible says, Israel will fight a war with all of the Arab nations and WIN it. Seems to me we are in the best position for us, aiding Israel and having a strong ally in that part of the world. Call it *strategical logic*. But, we also have a war of our own to win here on the homefront. And it needs to be fought and won BEFORE we become a police state, with a dictator or we will be in chaos and of no use to anyone!Stand up!Arm yourself!Be prepared!Fight back!NO COMPROMISE!!

A little perspective is necessary here.
It should be noted that of the $14 billion promised, none (by law) is actual cash. About 50% is in the form of materiel (weaponry -- which keeps American arms factories working), 25% is food products like wheat (ditto), and the rest is in loan guarantees. And Israel always pays its debts, so the guarantee money is unlikely to be paid because of a default.
Just FYI.

Great..... More money doled out to foreign governments with nothing in return. Our welfare system and Johnson's Great Society continues to go global. It's like never ending alimony or child support payments, they should end at some point.
