A Houston police officer shot and killed a one-armed, one-legged man in a wheelchair Saturday inside a group home after police say the double amputee threatened the officer and aggressively waved a metal object that turned out to be a pen.
Police spokeswoman Jodi Silva said the man cornered the officer in his wheelchair and was making threats while trying to stab the officer with the pen. At the time, the officer did not know what the metal object was that the man was waving, Silva said.

Submitter's comment: I'm beginning to believe the Brits got this one right -- no firearms for cops except for exceptional situations.

why is this AHOLE cop who cant tell the difference between a writing pen and a deadly weapon carrying a badge AND a deadly weapon?

ok look at the history of the HPD an the harris county guys the jails are the worst at least a man a month dies in them an they are always beating someone they shoot before they think they are not the cream of the crop they r the type to act big with a gun and a badge but standing alone there weak
