On April 17 Rolling Stone columnist Andrew Leahey tried to counter pushback on Tim McGraw’s Sandy Hook Promise gun control fundraiser by mocking Breitbart News’s reporting and then downplaying the group’s anti-gun agenda.
After covering Billy Currington’s pullout from the event, Leahey described McGraw as a principled gun rights advocate who was standing his ground against a hate mob. “One champion of the Second Amendment who isn’t backing down is McGraw, a gun owner and recreational hunter,” he wrote. |

Well, compared to The Rolling Stone, Sandy Hook Promise is pro-2A. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense? Where is the difference between having our arms in possession and under our direction, and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands? — Patrick Henry, 3 J. Elliot, Debates in the Several State Conventions 45, 2d ed. Philadelphia, 1836 |
