"Should the penalty for using a firearm illegally in Henrico County be more severe than a maximum fine of $250? Should it be illegal to fire a gun on any piece of land smaller than an acre?"

"Some members of the county's Board of Supervisors think so, and they've asked the Henrico's county attorney to study the county's existing firearms ordinance and deliver a briefing during their Aug. 9 work session."

"At that meeting, supervisors also are expected to consider revised plans for a new ordinance outlawing the use of bows and arrows in most areas."

"Both matters stem from a complaint made last October by a resident ... after learning that his neighbor was taking target practice with a high-powered crossbow. ..." ...

I guess even Virginia is not safe from stupid people and their idiot ideas of 'safety'.
Now they even worry about a crossbow? If any bow is easy to control, the crossbow is it, no way to misfire, unless your finger is on the trigger, then it is not a misfire.

Some pro-gun localities in Virginia are increasingly being invaded by people moving from Communist Northern Virginia in an attempt to escape the growing population and/or traffic. These people are bringing their anti-freedom bias with them and trying to shut down long operating shooting ranges because they don't like the noise or complaining about neighbors plinking in their own yards.

The Virginia Shooting Sports Association introduced and successfully guided legislation during the last GA Session to stop localities from changing the rules of operating a gun range after approving operation of the range. Unfortunately, some localities tried to pass "emergency" ordinances to circumvent the law prior to it taking affect on July 1.

They thought somebody might make a law A
So they tried to make a law notA
While they were trying to pass notA the somebody quickly tried to pass A...

What part of a pack of human scum dancing around each other making perfectly RIGHT behaviour legal/illegal at the drop of a whim is even remotely like what government should be doing? Fire them all.
