... "This year Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg of New York, an ardent gun control advocate, who has enlisted the support of mayors nationwide to fight gun violence through the bipartisan group Mayors Against Illegal Guns, initiated a four-month investigation of gun shows in three states with weak gun control laws. ... They also proved that dealers frequently sold to straw purchasers, who had only to prove their residency in the state and a crime-free background in order to buy arms, which they then turned over to the real buyer, who would in turn transport them back to New York and other cities along the so-called 'iron pipeline.' Many of these weapons have been traced to shooting deaths." ... |

| Why isn't Bloomberg in prison along with his cronies ? If I broke only half the State and Federal laws this gang did I'd be in prison for quite some time. I guess BATF is afraid to go up against a politically connected billionare. |

| Bloomburg doesn't want to talk about the 'White Powder Pipeline' flowing from New York City to Tennessee, Ohio and Nevada that kills more people from heroin overdoses than all the shooting deaths from criminals, cops and accidents combined in that cesspool he calls "the capitol of the world". Someone should record heroin purchases on the street below his ivory tower and shove that in his face. |

| The iron pipeline was full this past week, when a 9-minute grab netted 24 semi-automatic, mostly long guns took place. With $35,000 or so in firearms stolen from a gun store, where is Bloomberg? It is NOT illegal to sell a firearm to a person who passes a background check. The product being sold is a legal product. Instead of finding the criminals, Bloomberg and his pack of wild dogs are trying to shut down gun shops. Bloomberg does not figure in that criminals do not follow the law, they get their guns by stealing them, by straw sales and from other criminals. Since when did Bloomberg become king, and try to tell states what their gun laws should be? |

I object to the Hollywood style hyperbole of referring to ordinary commerce as "the iron pipeline" which is used solely for dramatic effect. These are legal (Second Amendment) arms being introduced into an illegal State. On the other hand, heroin has no redeeming qualities and is in fact illegal. Going after legitimate gun dealers in other States doesn't step on powerful toes within the Port Authority like going after the white powder "pipeline" does, and besides, Bloomburg doesn't make any profit off the gun trade. Is there anyone in authority in N.Y.C. that isn't profiting from the corruption within the Port Authority of New York? |
