Rhonda Mandel hates guns.
But then Hurricane Katrina sideswiped New Orleans on Monday and the Fort Myers woman was suddenly stuck in a French Quarter hotel.
Two days later, Mandel found herself and about 75 other guests preparing to drive an armed caravan of abandoned cars out of the city.
Mandel's driver — a hotel employee armed to the teeth — stopped to show her how to use a handgun.
"I told him no," Mandel said. "I didn't want to."
The engineer looked her in the eye, deadly serious.
"He said, 'What are you going to do when they shoot me?'" Mandel recalled.
She didn't have a good response. "OK," she finally answered. "Show me."

Rhonda doesn't need a gun. She has VICTIM taped to her forehead.Someone would just take it away, brutalize her, and then use it on her.
She is surely a nice person but appears to have problems dealing and functioning with reality. What violent attackers and rapists need is to be confronted and shot immediately. There is no "law" in that situation. It is your own morality and ethics. It is between you and GOD. |

Geez, what country was this? People have to arm themselves to the teeth just to escape after a hurricane? I didn't think there was any place on the planet that was still that uncivilized. Here in the U.S., everybody would pull together after a disaster. Must be some third world country I've never heard of, somewhere. |

She's a tipical liberal. Even after she gets home she can't deal with the real world and will not watch any news on whats going on in NO. She's burying her head in the sand. Liberals don't understand the thin line between holding down American's savages with welfair and these savages running wild. Remove welfair and the free ride and savages will always act like savages. Decent people need to be armed for their own safty. |

It can be a very tramatic experience when your perception of the world comes face to face with the reality of the world. Those that are weak usualy tend to curl up in a ball and suck on their thumb, gently moaning " it's not true, it's not true" all the while refusing to open their eyes to the reality they just witnessed. Good thing that Rhonda has parents that will encourage her to hide in the closet and tell her it was all a bad dream.
Just one question for those of rhondas' ilk, " who got you out of there, a private citizen with a gun or N.O.'s "finest"? IMHO when you rely on GOV, your life and concerns become subordnate to political goals and asperations.
My life is not worth someone being re-elected. |
