"Gun owners take heart. The Constitution is on your side."
"The right to bear arms is guaranteed by the Second Amendment."
"Still, the right of citizens to bear arms is often discussed in heated tones and emotional language."
"Political assassinations, workplace violence and school shootings inevitably spark public outcries for control of firearms."
"These demands are frequently countered with refrains such as 'When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.'"
"If we bypass such rhetoric and look at the issue from a constitutional standpoint, however, we learn that there is ample legal justification for the right to bear arms." ... |

| The Constitution is on our side. However, those entrusted to follow it faithfully are apparently NOT on our side. Politicians are sworn to protect and defend the United States, and follow the Constitution. In general, they are not doing so. Perceptions of our guiding document as freely editable, at will, does not serve our republic well. Another problem is parts with which some folks disagree, then just ignore those parts. Much like if the right eye offendeth thee, then cut it out. Some of us are apparently not too bright, and keep electing these fools. A dose of states rights, aided by the venerable 10th amendment might be just what the doctor ordered. That, AND voting the socialists, social engineers and the like OUT of office. |

TO REMEMBER |
| Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.... We've been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of government himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden. The solutions we seek must be equitable, with no one group singled out to pay a higher price. — Ronald Reagan |
