QUOTE OF THE MONTH:

"A gun is like a rattlesnake. You can try to keep it in a cage, but sooner or later it's going to get out and hurt someone."

"Ceasefire Oregon's successful annual gun turn-in program may be coming to an end after taking in about 6,000 unwanted guns in the last 10 years."

"Wheeler and other Ceasefire Oregon volunteers hope to replace the annual turn-ins with a year-round program."

"She said there's no doubt that some form of gun collection program is worthwhile."

"Many of the people who turned in guns Saturday for gift certificates would agree, including Judi Ellison, who handed over a 9 mm pistol she took away from several children in her neighborhood."

" 'I saw them playing with it, and I couldn't believe it. I took it away and hid it when they weren't looking,' said Ellison." ...
-------

So a thief used the turn-in to get rid of her loot, then confessed to a crime and is held up as a model citizen.

I'm sorry, the last time I checked a rattlesnake was an animate creature (reptile I believe) a gun is an inanimate object and totally incapable of movement without intervetion by someone or something.

"A gun is like a rattlesnake..."

So NOW they admit it! They think a gun is a live animal, just waiting for its chance, instead of an inanimate object that must be abused by humans to cause misery!

This is precious! They're comparing a machine with a living creature. That's like saying a horse is a like a car, or a bird is like an balloon.

What a joke, these people are getting crazier every minute.

Ms. Ellison is a liar. Why would she, obviously being unarmed, approach a group of children playing with a gun? Why didn't she notify the police? What self respecting anti-gun zealot would touch a gun not knowing whether or not it was loaded?

Speaking of thieves. The daughter of Oregon's premier anti-gun Senator Ginny Burdick, found a pistol while snooping around in Ms. Burdick's sister's closet a couple of years ago. Nothing like teaching them while they are young, Ginny.

I like the lady whose brother committed suicide with a gun 30 yrs ago. She blames the gun and obviously not herself. She should have tried to help her brother but i guess she didnt really care about him. Maybe if her brother killed himself nowadays her whole family could have gone to jail for neglect like that lady in CT.

REPEAT AFTER ME
1. All guns are always loaded.

P.S.:
"Asked why he didn't want to be identified, the man said, half-joking, "I'm a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, and I don't want my friends hearing about this."

He is no citizen.
