"The words are still there in red on the Ferndale Public Library's front door."

"'Absolutely no weapons including those permitted by concealed weapons law may be brought into this facility.'"

"The statement remains, even though the courts have said the rule is not enforceable for properly registered concealed weapons." ...

"Talk of Ferndale's gun fight came up recently when, in June, the Waterford Township Board of Trustees approved new library rules that included prohibiting guns inside the library."

"Gun rights advocates protested, saying the township could not ban guns, quoting from the rulings made during the Ferndale effort." ...

What part of 'concealed' can't these idiots figure out? Do they really think that someone intent on violence is going to obey or read their silly sign? Unless there is a metal detector at the door, there is no reason you can't carry in that building.

Michigan Constitution Article 1 Section 6:

§ 6 Bearing of arms.
Every person has a right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state.

Sure... as long as your keep it at home, and where no one is disturbed by it, or offeneded... just like the freedom of speech. It's called the "New Freedom."

You petty tyrants can keep me out of public buildings when you stop using my taxes to build and maintain them.

They keep forgetting that the most dangerous weapon known to mankind is concealed all of the time, right inside their thick skulls. They are obviously NOT using their weapons the right way.

Concealed is concealed. And just what is the penalty if they go in this public building with one? Idiots all.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. — Thomas Jefferson, quoting Cesare Beccaria in On Crimes and punishment (1764).
