"Nine-in-ten Americans maintain their views on the Second Amendment, but a majority of gun owners and non-gun owners alike believe that the AR-15 semi-automatic rifle should only be used by the police and other authorized persons, a new Angus Reid Public Opinion poll has found."
"The online survey of a representative national sample of 1,010 American adults also found that support for the 'shall-issue' prerogative to carry concealed weapons in public has increased over the past six months." ... -------
Submitter's Note: Except the poll did not specify "semi-auto". They showed a picture of an AR-15 and asked if it should be limited to cops. |

So a majority of people support the increase of the American police state. Does that make it right?
Remember the phrase "tyranny of the majority"? Did you think the people who coined it were kidding? |

"At this point, are you satisfied or dissatisfied with existing federal regulations related to firearm ownership?" That's the question. So if you think the laws suck and should be repealed, your answer will be added under the column of 'you want stricter gun laws'. |

| Any poll I've seen say close to 80% say the Government should leave the guns alone. A Government that arms gangs and drug cartels who in their right mind would believe anything that they would say |

Rights aren't endowed by polls, and the "in common use" and "reasonable relationship" issues have been setted in precedent.
No matter how much they beat that horse, it won't rise from the dead. |
