These are among the more sensational charges that have been directed at the President since he began his run for the White House in 2008 and continue to be spread by opponents despite the fact that none of the claims are backed by substance.
...
Obama has never proposed any new legislation to control firearms, and congress would have to choose to send a gun bill to his desk if he did, something everyone knows is not going to happen.
This fact has not stopped a marked increase in gun sales across the country by people who have convinced each other the president is poised to pounce on the Second Amendment the instant re-election is solidified. |
