A man has been taken to hospital after unconfirmed reports of gunshots on a street in Birmingham.

West Midlands Police said they were called out to a disturbance on Lozells Road in the Lozells area of the city on Saturday afternoon.

They confirmed they had received a report of a gun being fired, but said on Saturday that it was unclear whether a gun had been used.

The extent of the man's injuries are not clear.

Police were called out to a disturbance at about 1500 BST.
