Long-time documentary director Robert Greenwald, who covered war in Afghanistan and drone violence in Pakistan, thought he’d seen it all — until he took on the NRA. Greenwald, whose “Making a Killing: Guns, Greed and the NRA” premieres Wednesday in New York, said dealing with weapons violence in his home country was by far the most disturbing thing he’d ever encountered. |

Looks like another Michael Moore type Propaganda attempt! Notice it is severely slanted, showing NO self defensive use of firearms and some of his comments may actually be false! |

Just toss his remains on the pile of those who have gone before. |

I love how people think the NRA is the obstacle to having the "sensible" gun laws they want. The NRA has no power without its ability to motivate its members to vote. When they talk of "taking on the NRA," they really mean "taking on the American people."
I have to wonder about where the "greed" part comes in. How does a single-issue, grassroots organization have anything to do with greed? Does he mean the citizens' greed for liberty?
I think the propagandist in question would be shocked to know how many of us in the pro-gun camp don't like the NRA much either, though for the opposite reason. |

I believe there's many issues that could save lives; one is to teach gun safety in elementary schools. Actually, home fires and swimming accidents are the big killers around AL. Present guns laws could be enforced, if one is earnest in desiring positive results. All I see is a stripping away of our Bill of Rights. That won't happen. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
To have no proud monarch driving over me with his gilt coaches; nor his host of excise-men and tax-gatherers insulting and robbing me; but to be my own master, my own prince and sovereign, gloriously preserving my national dignity, and pursuing my true happiness; planting my vineyards, and eating their luscious fruits; and sowing my fields, and reaping the golden grain: and seeing millions of brothers all around me, equally free and happy as myself. This, sir, is what I long for. -- General Francis Marion, American War of Independence, Georgetown, SC [Source: 'Marion, The Life of Gen. Francis Marion' by M. L. Weems, Ch.18] |
