"The VPC is bragging in this editorial about putting gun dealers out of business:"
"Tougher laws and stricter enforcement cost nearly 200,000 U.S. gun dealers their licenses since the mid-1990s ..." "What the VPC is not telling you is that most of those licensed dealers were collectors who obtained Type 01 FFLs for their own purposes. During the Clinton Administration, a decision was made to put 'kitchen table' dealers out of business. They were portrayed as people who sold guns to criminals, when in reality, they were collectors who bought guns for themselves ..." ...
"Just remember though, they only want to target criminals, and illegal guns. It’s not about destroying the shooting culture in this country or anything ..." |

| Unwillingness to show visible defiance on OUR part is partly to blame for groups such as the VPC in gaining victory after victory. When gun owners learn of legislation such as CCW passage in many states or federal legislation such as The Lawfull Commerce of Arms Protection Act we sink back in our easy chairs with a false sense of security. We are led to believe that the final blows are being dealt to the anti gun lobby and that we are winning the war against guns when in fact these groups and many politicians supported by these groups will not stop until their ultimate goal of TOTAL DISARMAMENT is achieved. We must be prepared to do more than just sit back and comment on gun boards and blogs. |

| WE MUST BE WILLING TO ACT in protests such as the one that took place in Chicago countering Jesse Jackson and his priest friend or the ongoing battle between Red's and the BATFE. And yes, we must even be prepared to do that unmentionable act of - shhh, armed rebellion if all else fails. |
