"The threats came at night."
"'They would call and say, 'Is your husband getting his name off that petition?' I'd say no and they'd say 'We're coming to get you tonight,' said Lucile Hunter 'I'd say, 'You'd better bring enough to take care of us.'"
"Now, more than 40 years later, the wife of the Rev. J.D. Hunter - a member of the Courageous Eight-is older and physically, she appears frail. But that's just appearances. When she talks about getting a .22 rifle and a load of cartridges to stay up all night on watch, the determined women willing to back her husband, her race and protect her family is still there and still strong." Yes guncontrol is racist. Some of the earliest attempts at it were done to try to disarm newly freed blacks so they'd be easier victims for the KKK and other racists who would oppress blacks. Throughout history, the chief #1 reason why the people have been disarmed is to make them easier victims and because the gubmint doesn't trust them with the means to overthrow itself -- which usually means the govt. needs to be overthrown! |

It's been understood for millennia: Armed self-defense works for everybody.
Unless you are standing in front of the Mongol horde by yourself. |

| Markht is right on the money. A government that trusts us with our guns and respects the Bill of Rights has no need to fear our guns. A government that fears our guns and tries to take them will find its fear justified. But it will not recognize that its own actions give rise to the reason for that fear. |

| Gun control isn't racist. It's just one inch at 100 yards.:-) "Unconstitutional arms infringments" are racist. |
