Minnesota Gun Rights Rally Draws Hundreds to State Capitol

KeepAndBearArms.com - Minnesota Concealed Carry Reform, NOW! (http://www.mnccrn.org) held a gun rights rally called "Have Gun, Will Vote!" on the capitol steps in St. Paul on Saturday, October 14. Hundreds of activists attended, loudly applauding and cheering as several speakers spoke loud and clear messages in defense of their God-given, constitution-recognized RIGHT to Keep And Bear Arms.

While we eagerly await a writeup from any attendee who wishes to describe the event, we do have a 2 minute video of the Liberty Gathering, provided by one of the hundreds of Americans who attended, KeepAndBearArms.com member Scott Chapman. (This video format is a .wmv file. Viewer available for free from Microsoft, and will usually go straight to the Microsoft website and load onto your computer if you run on Windows. Right click here and select 'Save Target As' to download the video to your hard drive. 3520K)

If 3.5 Megabytes is a bit much for your computer/internet connection to handle, here is what you'd see and hear:

  • Several hundred people, many of whom are carrying signs, all of whom are assembled peacefully, standing on the steps of the state capitol in one of America's many great cities
  • Minnesota Director of Second Amendment Sisters, Heather, speaking her truth and firing up the crowd with questions like: "How many people here today think that an 18 year old woman going off to college for the first time should have the right to defend herself against a would-be rapist or attacker in the most effective way possible?" Her speech is peppered with loud cheers, screams, hoots and hollers, all affirming her message: our lives are ours to protect and defend.
  • A woman reading a quote from Charlton Heston's book that stirs the crowd to applaud
  • A man telling the crowd that hunters had better wake up to this cause, because it's coming to them whether they wake up or not

According to Scott Chapman, the following was the sum total of mainstream media coverage for this event huge weekend event on the steps of their own state capitol:

"There are 2 major papers and at 4 major TV stations (not including PBS), channels 4, 5, 9, and 11. First channel UPN-9. I emailed them. They claim they gave it 20 seconds during the 9pm newscast and 30 seconds at the 10 pm newscast. Maybe I caught the tail at 9pm? Probably buried after the weather! I saw 7 seconds, brief mention.

"Channel 4 CBS: I called them. The said "the NRA rally?, we are not airing it." Channel 5 ABC: I did not see or hear of any coverage? Anyone else see any?  Channel 11 NBC: I did not see or hear of any coverage? Anyone?

"Print Media:  St. Paul Pioneer Press - Not a word or picture that I could find. Anyone? Star Tribune - A large photo in the metro section with a caption "Hundreds at Capitol for gun rights", brief caption of the photo, no 'story' or interviews."

Says Mr. Chapman, "Even at 20/30 seconds, with 4 MAJOR TV stations and 2 MAJOR papers, this NEWS was declared un-News-worthy by a press who gives in depth, detailed accountings of the puny MMM/HCI events.  We bring hundreds of concerned citizens to a rally at the state capitol, and they mostly ignore us," Chapman continued, echoing the feeling of disgust many Americans hold for today's blatantly biased-against-guns media.

Sobeit.

Newswhores can put on their makeup and make up their put-ons all they want to, spinning empty air into tinny murmurs that signify not a thing. We lawful, peaceable, long-suffering gun owners are constitutionally, morally and spiritually right, and we shall prevail! While the socialist, liberty-usurping anti-self-defense movement tells decent citizens in many parts of the country - including Minnesota - that our grandmothers, mothers, sisters and daughters cannot defend their own beautiful lives against armed rapists and vicious murderers, landing millions of dollars from misled, misguided rich people, we know with certainty that Freedom will win, because Freedom always wins.

God Bless America!!! Way to go MNCCRN!!!! And Thank You to every single person who attended Saturday's event - for standing up in your town what we stand for in ours: the Sacredness of Life, the value we place our own lives and in the lives of our loved ones, the safety of our children, the individual liberties of all free citizens, and the principles upon which our nation was founded.

Spread the word. We the People have spoken once again. And we're just getting started.
