What Will You Do?

If you are a gun owner, chances are you have
listened with apprehension to the increased drumbeat for more gun control. You
may even have started to believe what some have been saying all along, that the
statist majority is really getting ready to propose gun confiscation, as
evidenced by the state of California’s mandatory recall of AK-class weapons.
They are betting that you will not be willing,
in the final analysis, to give up your comfortable, suburban house, or be
willing to risk the money you have worked so hard to put away for your
children’s education (after all, it wouldn’t be fair to them, would it?), or
be willing to risk hardly anything at all.
Or maybe it’s your spouse who is unwilling.
What will you do then?
This is what the statists are counting on, and
there is a good chance they will be right.
The other trick they will pull is to send,
wherever possible, local people to do their dirty work. Thus, if you live in the
country, it may be the police chief that you went to high school with who is
forced to come and demand that you turn over your handgun. They know it will be
that much harder for you to live up to the brave bumper-sticker words about
“prying my gun from my cold, dead hands”.
When faced with a potential situation like
this, it is important to go over your response in advance. Without such
preparation and when caught off-guard, it is very easy to depart from your
intended response.
Remember that the price of liberty is eternal
vigilance. Or remember your old Boy Scout motto: Be Prepared.
Consider various scenarios that may occur and
plan your reaction. That may mean stockpiling food and weapons; it may mean
finding a safe house for your children. You may wish to discover now rather than
later whether or not your spouse will be with you or not. Many may opt for
slavery rather than endangering their children's lives, although the socialist
government that is coming will almost certainly endanger them more.
Here is one suggestion if the scenario does
occur. If you are forced to give up your guns without having had a backup plan,
let that moment be the start of your guerilla war with the unconstitutional
United States Federal government. That means finding others who were caught off
guard and organizing. It means re-arming with military-class weapons. It means
strategizing about the best way to reclaim your freedom. It may mean declaring
cyber-war. And finally, it means a commitment to use force to defend your
God-given rights as set forth in the Declaration of Independence and Bill of
Rights.
Remember that Thomas Jefferson said that
"Whenever a government becomes
destructive of these ends [the right to life, liberty, and happiness], it is
the right and duty of the people to abolish it".
