KeepAndBearArms.com Privacy Policy

Last Updated: December 6, 2002

KeepAndBearArms.com has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to Privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website.  We are committed to providing improvements in the below policy if warranted.

Your right to privacy is fundamental and unalienable. Various governmental and private organizations do not treat it as such any longer, but we do. KeepAndBearArms.com operates and will always operate by the following principles:

  • We have never shared our email lists or contact information with any organization, individual, corporation or government agency, and we never will.  Don't bother asking if you can "rent" our lists -- the answer is NO!  The only way outside individuals or companies can reach our newsletter subscribers or site visitors is through advertising, and then only when they meet our very clear and plainly stated criteria. The ONLY exception to this involved a single (snail) mailing we did to our entire mailing list, and that data was handed over to an absolute ally in the gun rights movement who is set up to process such mailings -- under the protection of a "single use, for our purposes only" agreement. And we spiked the list -- a common practice in the world of mass mailing -- to make sure it was never used.

  • We also regard the sending of mass unsolicited email as disrespectful, discourteous, and annoying.  We only ever email you when you sign onto our various lists by choice.  We never add anyone to our lists unless they specifically ask us to do so by using our online signup systems.  Please do not ask us to sign up your friend or relative; have them use our online signup options -- options that require each individual to approve of the voluntary subscription.  Our team of American Freedom-lovers grows by process of attraction, not by piracy--as it should be.

  • The nature of the issues addressed on this web site are controversial and, under the current Constitution-killing political systems, "politically incorrect."  We know full well we are up against forces larger than the simple ignorance displayed by oath-breaking politicians and masses of sheeple who've turned over their minds to people implementing the same Plan Adolf Hitler put forth.  To make this quite clear, we would destroy all personal data before we would turn our members' or visitors' information over to any government agency or third party information-seeker, regardless of who they are or how much power they may wield. (The only exception might be if a member or customer were to grossly violate the enumerated Constitutional rights of another and somehow dragged us into their mess -- something we hope to never encounter.) To do so would be a violation of trust placed in us and a violation of the principle of privacy itself.  Never gonna happen here absent the outright use of brute force and surprise attack by a lot of armed government employees, and even then our data systems are encrypted -- and we will not give passwords under duress, to anyone, under any circumstances.

  • Regarding security on our site, we employ state-of-the-art-technologies to preserve the integrity and sanctity of all personal information of our members.  Though we will not disclose publicly our security systems employed, your information is secure in our imbedded database.

  • We do not keep our members names, addresses or telephone numbers on our server; the data is on a separate server and is served up when you request it by using your username and password, hopefully known only to you. The only pieces of information stored on our server are user names and email addresses.  This is to assist you in easily being able to access your own account information and to make necessary changes should you change your email address -- and the access to this information is also encrypted. Your information is stored on a separate server completely inaccessible by anyone but you and a handful of dedicated staff members, and only then when you enter your password correctly. When you enter your password, your information and your information alone is called up from a server that is not online.

Regarding Information Collection

Cookies and IP Addresses

As is customary on the internet, we use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site.  We also use cookies to be able to track down anyone who attempts to invade our system and will prosecute to the full extent of the law anyone who makes such a foolish move.  We also use cookies to save your passwords for forums, chats, and member access so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit our site. We DO NOT use our cookies to track ANY of your internet activities, and we never will; the websites you visit and what you do there is your business and nobody's else's business, PERIOD.

Personal Information & Financial Information

Our site's membership registration form requires new members to give us contact information (like their name and email address) and financial information (like their account or credit card numbers, for online membership). (Though our site is certified as secure, you can sign up by mail if you do not wish to put this data through the internet.) We use customer contact information from the registration form to digitally send our members information about our organization and the various campaigns we found or join. Your contact information is also used to contact you on the rare occasion when this could be necessary. Examples could include repetitively bouncing email, a failed credit card should you make a purchase on our web site, or to Alert you to something that is dire and in need of immediate attention by the citizenry at large.  Our merchant account system is provided by Authorize Net, one of the best on the internet.  Secure servers do in fact exist, and ours is one of them.  When we do collect credit card or bank account information for a membership or a purchase, we do not store this data on our server OR in our personal files unless you specifically authorize us to do so, and then it is NEVER kept on our server; it is only transmitted through our server to a database that is directly tied into our bank account.

Our site also uses an order form for customers to request information, products and services, and to offer suggestions on how we can improve the services we provide. We collect visitor's contact information (like their email address) and financial information (like their account or credit card numbers). Contact information from the order form is used to send orders to our site members and visitors. Contact information is used to get in touch with our visitors when necessary. Members may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below.

Choice/Opt-Out

Our site provides members and visitors the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us at the point where we request information about the visitor.  When you become a member, your choice is honored regarding future contact.  In other words, you are always at choice when it comes to receiving information from us through email.  You can also choose to receive our communications and later opt right back out.  To opt out of our email distribution lists, you can visit the following URL: http://www.KeepAndBearArms.com and use the form linked from this page.

Use of Snail Mail

We do not clog up your mail box at home with weekly or monthly requests for donations.  It is possible that you will receive a RARE piece of literature from us with a request to read it and, if you are agreeable to its message, to make a few copies to share with friends and loved ones.  When signing up as a member, you do have the option of refusing to receive any such snail mail through the post office, and we will honor your request as if it came from a dear friend.  We don't like junk mail either -- we find snail mail spam as annoying as you do.  Regarding regular requests for money through the postal system, forget it.  We have more important ways to use our resources.  You know where we are.  Help if you can.  End of conversation.
