Anti-Constitution = Un-American

Subject: Gun show loophole

To the idiot who wrote this article: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/editorialsopinion/134392087_gunshowed17.html

According to the FBI, only 2% of firearms purchased at gun shows via private sale are ever used to commit a crime. This means that at least 98% of those purchases are made by law-abiding citizens who would pass a NICS check and likely posses a valid concealed weapon permit (CCW).

If you’re really interested in closing some so-called “loop hole”, perhaps your colleagues would suggest that only persons who hold a CCW permit be able to purchase a firearm at a gun show. The background check is the same to obtain the permit as it is to buy a pistol from an FFL dealer. I haven’t heard anyone suggest this though. Is it because simply showing a laminated piece of paper wouldn’t add the holder to a database to be used during some future confiscation scheme?

I wonder if you have a clue as to why SS troops in Germany were eventually able to round up millions of Jews and terminate them. After seeing the government alphabet soup agencies commit horrendous crimes against American people at Ruby Ridge, Waco, and thousands of illegal IRS seizures, do you really think it couldn’t happen here?

Why do you think our fore fathers included in the second amendment to the Constitution the words, “...shall not be infringed.”? Do you suppose they knew something about human nature that you naive gun-grabbers do not?

I have a suggestion: If you like the idea of living in a place where law-abiding citizens have no effective way of defending their homes, family, strangers, or self, how about you move to Australia or UK or any number of other countries who’ve banned the possession of firearms? Until or unless the second amendment is repealed, do not suggest ways of violating it; for to do so is, by definition, “un-American” and you will be made an enemy by more than 80 million patriots including, more than likely, your next door neighbor.

Have a peaceful day,

Richard Beamis

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
"Some people think that the Second Amendment is an outdated relic of an earlier time. Doubtless some also think that constitutional protections of other rights are outdated relics of earlier times. We The People own those rights regardless, unless and until We The People repeal them. For those who believe it to be outdated, the Second Amendment provides a good test of whether their allegiance is really to the Constitution of the United States, or only to their preferences in public policies and audiences. The Constitution is law, not vague aspirations, and we are obligated to protect, defend, and apply it. If the Second Amendment were truly an outdated relic, the Constitution provides a method for repeal. The Constitution does not furnish the federal courts with an eraser." --9th Circuit Court Judge Andrew Kleinfeld, dissenting opinion in which the court refused to rehear the case while citing deeply flawed anti-Second Amendment nonsense (Nordyke v. King; opinion filed April 5, 2004)
