KeepAndBearArms.com — Don Bird filed a lawsuit in California to regain the
free exercise of his right to keep and bear arms. KABA has reported on Mr.
Bird's Second Amendment lawsuit against the Governor of California in two
previous articles:
Mr. Bird's battle continues with his request that governor Gray Davis be
issued a writ of mandamus, which is a court order forcing the governor to admit
that Mr. Bird — and thus all other Californians — has an individual right to
keep and bear arms.
As noted in the earlier reports, in response to Mr. Bird's previously filed
documents, California governor Gray Davis claims,
- "That is, Plaintiff [Mr. Bird] has no legally recognized right to
bear arms under the Second Amendment of the United States
Constitution."
- "...the Constitution does not provide a private right to bear
arms."
- "...the Second Amendment does not protect the possession of a weapon
by a private citizen."
If this outrages you, then Mr. Bird would like you to stand with him in at 10
AM on Thursday, February 21, in the Federal Court Building (Dept. 24, 8th Floor,
501 I Street) Sacramento, California.
Don has carried on this fight virtually alone, with but little help from
pro-gun rights attorneys, because he's an outstanding man and an outstanding
American patriot.
