Drum Major
Exposed
by C.D.

Seeing the strange name (from yesterday's
report), I wondered if NY Rep. Major Owens may have had anything to do with
this organization. So I looked up their officers list and chased them down.
Drum Major is just another Democrat-run front
organization for gun control, like the Million Mommies. Here's the rogue's
gallery exposed:
- William B. Wachtel: New York lawyer, can't
find much more about him.
- Andrew Young: former Democratic mayor of
Atlanta and ambassador to the UN
- John McConnell: Too common a name, but could
be the founder of Earth Day
- John Marino: common name, but probably
the NY state Democratic Party chair
- Andrea Young: lawyer, daughter of Andrew
Young, above
- Leslie Huell Di Mitri: Absolutely zero
information found
- Matthew Goldstein: common, but probably
the one who is Chancellor of CUNY
- Bernard W. Nussbaum: Clinton White House
Counsel
I have carried a revolver; lots
of us do, but they are the most innocent things
in the world. -- MARK TWAIN
Hi Angel,
I don't know if you are aware but one of the
directors of Drum Major is the infamous
Berny Nussbaum, White House Counsel and the Clinton
lawyer that lied to congress with unbelievable arrogance. Regards,
Warren McQuiggan Marana, AZ
KABA: 3 of the email addresses of
the Drum Major
folks are conveniently no longer receiving email. From the above shall we
consider them a waste of time, or an extremely tough sell? Barry Bright of
Free Kentucky suggested that they'd best understand when presented with a rope
tied into a tight noose. Most responses to the note yesterday about
setting them straight suggested that they were a waste of time and that energies
are best invested going after the HUD "gun buyback" itself. If
you agree, use our auto emailer
to say your piece to U.S. Congress. But if they do have a mind left in
their Left minds, perhaps by some miracle this letter may get through.

Dear
Mr. Young,
Seeing
your recent ad in USA Today reminded me of just how naive and gullible some
people are. When you do not agree with the facts just make them up. Doctor
Goebbels would be proud of you, especially
your, “13 children a day die from guns”.
I am more than slightly bemused as you must include 19 year old drug
dealers who elect to use a firearms to settle business disputes as a children in
order to reach your 13 a day figure. I guess is was “children”, who landed
at Normandy on D-Day and help end real tyranny.
Maybe
HUD Secretary Cuomo would settle for just having his bodyguard give up his
weapon as his guard keeps misplacing it any ways. Perhaps you should call on
President Clinton to set another example by having the White House Secret
Service Detail go unarmed. Especially since Agents assigned to Mrs. Clinton also
have a weapons retention disability. After all firearms are banned in Washington
D. C. so why do these government officials require armed bodyguards in a gun
free city?
Of
course you would not care to admit that firearms are used for lawful purposes
such as sport and self-defense. There are experts (whose math ability I trust
much more than yours I might add) who are able to document defensive uses of
firearms as many as 2 million times annually. How many lives saved does that
equate to? You totally ignore the fact that major cites with the strictest gun
control laws also have the highest crime and violence rates. But then your
hedonistic mind set and group think which has given us the latch-key kids, no
discipline in either home or school, single parents and a gender-integrated
military would not really care to deal with any real facts that would conflict
with your simplistic view of things.
Your
advertisement has accomplished one thing. As a new NRA member I will stand next
to Charleston Heston and likewise say, “from my cold dead hands.”
Sincerely
John
B. Godwin
Angel:
My take on this is that "Drum Major"
is just a pathetic attempt by Andrew Young to remain relevant.
Why waste our time writing to him or his
supporters? Our efforts should be focused on our congressmen, the folks who have
the power to end this charade by defunding HUD's budget by the amount of money
they waste on their gun "buy-back" programs.
Incidentally, am I the only one offended by the
term "buy-back", as if the guns involved were originally issued by or
obtained from the government, who is now buying them back?
In conclusion, I suggest we focus our efforts
where they'll do the most good - toward getting a "bullet-proof" (or
at least veto-proof) Republican majority into the legislative branch both in
Washington and at home, and letting them know what we want.

Robert,
You're right.

C'mon Angel. I just read the action item about Drum
Major or whatever these pieces of Marxist rat dung call themselves.
Re-read their intro statements and chairman's
letter. These people are Marxists. the only persuasion they'll
"understand" is a bullet or a rope, which means none.
It's nice to convince people who are simply
misled. This bunch has been around for decades, and was probably originally
funded by some other Marxist foundation.
To top it off they try to seem "fair"
by quoting Dennis Hastert(what a joke) and the NRA(another joke).
This all fits the mold too well. They don't
even try to cover their propaganda tracks.
think about it...

Barry,
You're right, too. Apologies for
suggesting an investment of time or energy in attempting to convert
Clinton-level weasels. Won't happen again. I should have waited a
day and checked them out or had someone else do it. It just irked me to
see such slimey lies being told in USA Today with such refined-but-empty
statements. Thank you and the many others who rattled my cage.
Angel
