The Election

by R.D. Lee

Having been a law enforcement officer for a number of years, I have given much thought to the POLITICS of our country today. If you ask most any line police officer he will tell you the same thing, "he has never met a line officer that advocated the removal of firearms from the law abiding people of this country." Only those in law enforcement politics seem to think that removal is a good idea. I personally have had a citizen come to my assistance late one night because he heard on his scanner what I had not heard. When I called for back-up, the dispatcher had switched to the county frequency to get me that help. My closest back-up was 25 long minutes away. All I knew was suddenly a man I barely knew drove up gun in hand and helped me subdue a man that I might otherwise have had to shoot.

That being said, let me tell you why I sent this in. After much thought, I am worried that if Gore is elected it will have the same effect as
Lincoln's election just before the civil war. Lincoln's election in itself was not the main cause of the civil war; it was the final nail in a long list of causes. So might Gore's election to the Presidency be just that final straw.

I know many people in several different states that can and will fight to keep their freedom and their guns. As a Police Officer, I will be forced to make the only decision that I can. Having taken my oath of office to heart I must "Up hold and defend the constitution against all enemies both foreign and domestic." Which as long as the so called authorities continue to usurp the constitution and enact unconstitutional laws and grab more and more power, I will have no choice.

Bush may not be the best choice, but if we are to avoid a war, again to fight to gain freedom from those who would take it from us, we cannot let Gore take office, period.

What most people have not thought about is the Revolution was not started over taxes.  The American Revolution was really engaged after the attempt to take powder and shot from the people - because King George had decided the Kings forces could protect the people better than they could protect themselves. Our own Government would do well to remember this. If slightly more than 10% of the then current population could defeat the then most powerful nation, what can 35% to 40% that is willing to fight do.

I truly pray it does not come to this. Vote Bush.

KABA NOTE:

Thank you, Mr. Lee, for sharing your thoughts and for being yet another law enforcement officer reaffirming your sworn DUTY to defend our nation - even from within - if necessary.

Have you ever noticed that the word "Gore" is contained in the word "George", as in King GeORgE?

There are no coincidences.

Look up the word GORE in the dictionary, or just click here to read it directly on Dictionary.com. The most telling excerpt: "To pierce or wound, as with a horn; to penetrate with a pointed instrument, as a spear; to stab."

What might that horn be? And might that pointed instrument be the pen with which he signs the laws that take us into Civil War Part 2?

Respectfully,

Angel Shamaya
