Give Me
Liberty
L'isbeth Noelle Rothe
I am a disabled American Veteran, circa VietNam
Conflict. I am a mother. I am a wife. But, most importantly, I am a Soldier in the Army of God! As
such, He is my Commander In Chief. He is the one whose marching orders I choose to follow. The
Documents enumerating my responsibilities are clear:
"Stand fast, therefore, in the liberty wherewith Christ
hath set you free, and be ye not entangled again under any yoke of bondage." Eph.5:1
The same God to whom I go for orders brought forth this
nation as an example of freedom, integrity, and honor. He guided the hands of the framers as they penned the
time-proven words of our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, and our Bill of Rights. It is in
service to Him, then, that I stand, now, to do battle for the preservation of that which He has given! I do battle now
for the continuation of that which was begun 224 years ago.
And, so I stand with Patrick Henry, and I say,
"Give me liberty, or give me death!"
