Banks & Targets

We have the second local robbery in as many weeks without so much as a weapon even being wielded by the local predators. Bank of America was robbed with a note, and now Target was robbed with mere words.

According to Larry Hendricks' report -- excellent, as usual -- four witnesses sat there and watched two people ask for money, receive money and walk away politely. No threats, no weapon.

Gone are the days when robbers had to work at their profession. Now, our citizens simply obey whoever asks for money -- complying to the empowerment of socially-putrid thieves.

Then there are the true accomplices: businesses who do not let their employees go armed; police and media who foolishly tell people to give parasites whatever they desire; citizens who've handed their duty of self-defense over to anyone but themselves; a society that considers cowardice normal or even remotely acceptable.

Some months back, I was carrying my full-size .45 in plain view inside a grocery store. (I usually carry concealed in case note-wielding robbers attempt to take what isn't theirs in my presence -- to have the upper hand.) A woman probably in her 80's looked at my sidearm with a touch of shock and asked me, "Why do you have THAT?!"

"In case someone tries to hurt you in my presence, young lady," I gently replied, reassuring her with my smile and my calming voice. "Nobody in this entire store could lay a hand on you right now."

She understood in an instant what many wishful thinking and illogical "pacifists" do not.

If a certain 4 pilots had had guns with them on the morning of September 11, 2001, over 5,000 people would be alive today and our nation would not be going to war.

PS. If you'd like to address the "12 Myths About Guns & Airplanes", I'll format the following for your paper: https://www.keepandbeararms.com/angel/articles/next/airsanity2.htm

The black and white cartoon on that page was done by a member of our organization two days ago, and you have his blessings to publish it. A higher resolution version is easily available.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined. — Patrick Henry, during Virginia's Convention to Ratify the Constitution (1788)
