Two self-defense shootings in
one day

NUMBER ONE:
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- About 2 a.m. Tuesday, police were called to a Petro Express gas station in the 2200 block of South Tryon Street.
Officers found Korey Deon Robinson, 25, dead in the parking lot. Darryl Lamar Watson, 20, was also shot, police said. His wounds were not life-threatening.
Watson told police he was shot by Robinson and fired in self-defense. He has not been charged. Police are still investigating.
NUMBER TWO:
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- About 9 p.m. Monday police responded to a pair of shootings at a house in the 300 block of Rozzelles Ferry Road.
Thomas William Hayes Jr., 44, of Charlotte, was shot in the chest and died, police said. Johnny Bell, 21, who lived at the house, was shot in the leg. Paramedics took Bell to Carolinas Medical Center where he was in fair condition late Tuesday.
According to a police report, Bell told officers a man broke into the house and shot him. Then someone inside the house fired back, killing the man.
