Dear Attorney General:
I am writing to thank and commend
you for upholding Utah law concerning our most basic liberty and God given right,
self defense. The protection of family and self. Gun control rather than criminal
control is an action not warranted by conditions or actualities, but an assault
on our liberties.
You have not just gone with political
pressure or political correctness. It is more than just gratifying to see Utah
law upheld and clarified. The exemplary fortitude you have displayed in the
face of extreme opposition is more than just commendable.
You sir, have shown the quality
I look for in an elected public official. Never have I actually campaigned for
a person seeking office. But you sir, are an exception. When the opportunity
comes I will campaign for you whatever office you seek.
It surely is fact that our antigun
politicians/legislators are already working to undue these just firearms laws.
Vigilance and hard work is ahead for us to protect our "God given"
rights that our legislators have no right to revoke. They are in utmost need
of the knowledge of the structure of our Constitution, and the common sense
that has been proven by the many states having enacted self defense laws through
concealed carry. Actually Vermont has proven the lack of need or the expense
of taxpayers money by states to force people to unlawfully register with the
government. If only people could open their minds and be honest with themselves,
and needless to say, with the rest of us.
The Dictionary describes Liberty
as "freedom from unjust or undue government control".
Respectfully,
HK Latham
