Submitting Information to KeepAndBearArms.com Archives

Archiving Guidance and Input

We are grateful for your assistance with our archiving.  Thank you.  This is input on how to produce documents in our preferred format.

Using our archiving system is very simple.  Below are our guidelines to help make it easy for you to assist ongoingly in building our archives and contributing to our daily News and Editorials.  Our goal is to have everything gun owners, activists, or information seekers could ever want or need at one central location within a few click of their mouse.

Formatting

Font Size and Style

If you are submitting html coding to our site (doing the web formatting for us), we ask that you adhere to the format we use on our site.  Please use Verdana 10pt for text and Verdana 14pt Bold for Titles.  Use Verdana 12pt for any headings which need to stand out in the document. If you don't know how to do that and simply wish to submit text, click here and go for it.

Other Text Options

You are free to include bold, italics, underlining, and hyperlinks throughout your addition to our archives.  As long as you paste the html code into the Archive Form, you will be able to have all of your links show up.

Images

We can upload images from headquarters and will certainly do so to add visual appeal to items you are contributing to our site.  The tag in the html text needs to be /images/imagename.gif or .jpg to be referenced.  Until our online feature which lets you upload images is in place, please email us your images and reference the title of the submission and the date it was submitted to assist us in getting your contribution online faster.

Featured Writers

We can set up a category for any good writers who wish to archive their gun-related or freedom-related articles on our site.  We stress the word GOOD here as we cannot possibly take three sentence jabs at ex-president clintoon seriously for article submissions; we are a professional news and editorial source on the internet with an eye for and commitment to quality literature.

After Submitting Items for Approval

Once you have submitted your archive materials, getting them to show up on the site requires approval and is handled internally at headquarters.  You can either wait until we get to the document to approve it or send us an email to AlanGottlieb@keepandbeararms.com entitled KABA_ARTICLE_SUBMITTED.  Though this is not necessary, doing so will assist you in getting your documents online faster.  Include the name of the article, your name and contact number, the topic of the article, and your desired date of release of the article.  If you submitted it to both News and Information/Archives, please indicate this in your message, and please be SUCCINCT.
