Over the weekend, Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) used a post on X to describe the National Firearms Act (NFA) as “government overreach” and renewed his call for its repeal.

Bretibart News first reported Burlison’s desire to repeal the NFA on January 11, 2025, noting then.

A ban on numerous semiautomatic firearms — rifles and shotguns — passed the Colorado Senate Affairs Committee on Tuesday and is now headed to the Senate Floor.

The legislation is SB25-003, which targets firearms state Democrats define as a “specified semiautomatic firearm.”

On January 15th and January 16th, in Houston, Texas, two young men fired guns in defense of self and others. One young man was protecting himself and his companions in the car he occupied. The other was protecting his pregnant significant other. Both actions appear to be justified. Both young men are reported to be less than 21 years old.
