According to the Cor-Bon website, the Glaser Safety Slug “was designed in response to the possibility of having to use a handgun on an airplane by the Sky Marshals. The concerns at the time were over-penetration on soft tissue and ricochets on hard surfaces and possible excess penetration.” According to online sources, the Glaser was designed by Jack Canon, with the original loads produced under the banner of Deadeye Associates. In 2002 Cor-Bon purchased the company and has been manufacturing the ammunition ever since.

The Nebraska prosecutor who declined to file charges after a white bar owner fatally shot a Black man during protests last spring has switched political parties after Democrats criticized his handling of the case.

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine registered as a Republican on Wednesday. The Nebraska Democratic Party passed a resolution last month that said Kleine, who is white, “perpetuated white supremacy” with his comments about 22-year-old James Scurlock, who was shot and killed by Jake Gardner following a scuffle outside Gardner’s bar after the bar’s windows were shattered.

Training and shooting practice is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, and Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Hartwick Rod and Gun Club.

“You hear a lot about women feeling that they’re helpless or defenseless,” said chapter leader Janet Kitchens. “The idea is to teach women that they don’t have to be. Our goal is to empower and educate women.”

In fact, if Biden has his way, the sale of gun parts over the Internet would be banned entirely.

If that sounds far-fetched, here is a direct quote from the so-called “BIDEN PLAN TO END OUR GUN VIOLENCE EPIDEMIC”: “Biden will enact legislation to prohibit all online sales of firearms, ammunition, kits, and gun parts.”

Those are his words, not ours.

Most people are familiar with the concept of a “Go Bag” or “Bug Out Bag.” The general concept is similar — a backpack, duffle bag or other portable container into which a number of essential items are stored in the event of emergency. First aid supplies, emergency shelter, critical tools, extra clothing; all of these are excellent items to include in such a bag.

The provision forbade law enforcement from arresting anyone claiming to have used self-defense in a homicide.

In order to arrest someone or begin the due process of a homicide investigation, prosecutors would first have to prove “beyond a reasonable doubt” that self-defense was not used.

“That’s a dangerous proposition,” said Oakley, noting that the uninquiring permissiveness of that provision could have given actual murderers a chance to escape the law, merely by using “self-defense” as a key word while the state gathered all the evidence – without a defendant present.

The immunity provision was taken out of the bill before the second draft emerged.

On 28 September 2020, the Superior Court of Pennsylvania (one of two state courts of appeals in the state of Pennsylvania) issued an opinion which held the United States Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) was unconstitutional under the Tenth Amendment, the Commerce Clause, and the Fifth Amendment. The Court also held the Fourteenth Amendment and the Second Amendment could not render the PLCAA constitutional.

Missouri couple, Mark and Patricia McCloskey, are currently plagued by a fierce legal and political battle. In June, they defended their home in St. Louis against rioters. The violent mob trespassed on their private property and screamed at them with threats of murder and assault. This prompted the McCloskeys to defend themselves and their property by brandishing their firearms. Under Missouri law and the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, self-defense is their right.

This year’s riots, sparked by the death of George Floyd and continued in the names of several others, have destroyed billions of dollars in property, cost numerous people their lives and businesses and jobs, and promoted what will probably be a decade or more of de-urbanization. But whatever else happens, they will have accomplished an important social change. Thanks to these riots, the case for the Second Amendment and the personal right to own weapons is growing steadily stronger, as is the legal case for private gun ownership.

Sponsored by gun rights activists, the measure would prohibit county resources from being used to enforce any local, state or federal law or regulation that restricts the right to keep and bear firearms, accessories or ammunition.

That means Sheriff Matt Phillips could not enforce background checks, tracking requirements, confiscation orders, limits on semi-automatic firearms or accessories and restrictions on open or concealed carry. The fines for violating the measure would be up to $2,000.

Many years ago, I was honored to be a guest at the Smith & Wesson factory in Springfield, Mass. To say that I was struck emotionally would be a big understatement. I began collecting and shooting Smith & Wesson revolvers more than 50 years ago, and the opportunity to visit and see the inner workings of this iconic company was almost a religious experience.

Among the thoughts running through my mind that heady day was, “I wonder if the guys who developed the Hand Ejector series of revolvers back in 1894 had any idea of how well they would be received?”

Those opposed to what Rittenhouse had done tried to damage him in the court of public opinion by claiming he had broken some laws pertaining to the possession of firearms. But what they were really saying is, because the state of Wisconsin had not given Rittenhouse a license to carry a firearm to defend himself, he must be in the wrong.

Licenses are a way for the state to decide which rights a person can exercise and which ones they cannot. When a government has the power to approve or deny a right, the citizen immediately loses the upper hand to that government.

So, if they are both terrible, what are you to do? Who should you vote for in less than thirty days!

If you are a gun owner or value the Second Amendment, you have no choice which scumbag you must vote for. It is not even a question. You must vote for President Donald J. Trump.

Joe Biden has a record of helping create and voting for all manner of gun control (Brady Bill, 94 Assault Weapons Ban ), and his so-called gun safety manifesto is a terrifying litany of tyranny.

The question: "Should the Illinois General Assembly protect a citizen's right to keep and bear arms as defined by the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution?"

"It's not going to be yes or no on the Second Amendment," Russell Christ said during a press conference Wednesday morning, October 7. "Do you believe it should be maintained or protected by our legislature or not? Point-blank. Yes or no."

After months of investigation, it appears no charges will be brought against a man who shot and killed a bear in the Galena area on June 19.

According to a statement made by the Nevada Division of Wildlife, “In complex cases like the one you reference, the Nevada Department of Wildlife routinely works directly with District Attorney offices in order to present the most effective criminal complaints. This strategy allows the Department to present the strongest case possible in helping to ensure the District Attorney Offices can successfully bring the case before a judge with the highest possibility of conviction.

And when it comes to the matter of gun control, her admission to the bench is poised to shake up the status quo — with or without a second Trump term.

So, where does Judge Barrett stand in regard to the Second Amendment?

"Judge Barrett, unlike many of her colleagues on the circuit courts, takes the Second Amendment seriously, using the text, structure, and history of the Constitution to understand and apply the rights protected," Ilya Shapiro, director of the Robert A. Levy Center for Constitutional Studies and publisher of the Cato Supreme Court Review, told Fox News.

The Internet has become an indispensable part of modern commerce. No retail industry could long survive if it were completely purged from the online marketplace. For Joe Biden, however, this terminal outcome would be a feature, not a bug, of his plan to ban “all online sales of … gun parts.”
