The wadcutter is a very unique type of bullet, very much like a lead cylinder. Almost exclusively used to punch holes in paper with low pressure and lightly loaded cartridges, wadcutters don't change shape or become deformed when fired. They make scoring target sheets extremely easy because the round hole created is very defined compared to any other type of ammunition.

While discussion of the Second Amendment and gun control have been noticeably absent from the presidential debates and mainstream media coverage, gun rights are without a doubt on the ballot today. On no other issue do the candidates stand in such stark contrast.

If you’re looking for a worthwhile cause to donate to during the holiday season this year than look no further than Folds of Honor. The mission of the charity is simple, “providing educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members.” Lt Col Rooney founded the organization in 2007 as a way to provide an education to a fallen soliders family, Corporal Brock Bucklin, and remind all Americans of the sacrifice of all fallen heroes. This holiday season, Guns.com is proud to announce a way for you to donate even more while exercising your 2nd Amendment right.

By an overwhelming majority, the Payson Town Council approved a resolution that makes Payson a Second Amendment sanctuary during its Oct. 22 meeting. The middle-class insurgency has become operational. I don't know how else to say it. There's a quiet seriousness among Trump voters as they prepare to vote in person. Each day, they raise their American flags, wave to their neighbors, and go about their business; but behind the smiles, Republicans are as focused as they've ever been. There's a look that you, no doubt, have seen on the faces of fellow Americans, a barely noticeable nod of the head that communicates a simple message: "Git-R-Done."

With the passing of Amendment E, it will now be written in Utah's constitution that state residents have the right to hunt and fish. About 74 percent of Utah voters favored the amendment. Despite its passing, Amendment E does not make the right to hunt and fish absolute as state laws and policies would still prohibit, for example, a convicted poacher from getting a hunting license.

For those who love big bore revolvers, the .454 Casull (pronounced like KA-sool) is often a favorite. Longer than the .45 Long Colt and much more powerful, this ammunition spent more than half of its life as a popular wildcat, not becoming a standard, factory round until it’d been in the handloader arena for over 40 years.

When it comes to size, the .454 Casull ammo comes in a .45 Colt case that’s lengthened about .10 inch, giving the shell a length of 1.383 inches. The .452-inch diameter lead bullet sits in a .480-inch diameter straight-rimmed case, making the total cartridge length reach 1.77 inches.

On today’s episode of Buckin’ Out, we’re talking about starting from the basics of form, fit, and function when picking a deer hunting rifle for a beginner. There are a few tips we’ll go through to make sure you get the most bang for your buck. One of the first considerations for picking a deer hunting rifle is to decide which type of action you think will be best suited to you, especially if you need a follow up shot. One of the first things taught in hunter’s education is that you should be an ethical hunter. This means the first shot should take the animal cleanly and cause minimal suffering. While taking a deer down on the first shot is the ideal outcome, sometimes a second shot is needed.

Let me start off by saying that I don’t think you can, or should try deer hunting inside a city with a firearm. But as you all know so well, many states have restrictions on using certain types of cartridges and firearms due to the close proximity of the people living there. The closer you get to dense population zones, the tighter the restrictions based on how far an errant bullet can fly. These areas usually restrict hunters to shotguns, muzzleloaders, handguns and rifles chambered for straight-wall cartridges. Which of these is better for you? There are several factors we’ll look at to help you get the best deer gun for your urban area.
