The .32 S&W Long (7.65x23mm) is a straight-walled, centerfire, rimmed handgun round introduced by Smith & Wesson in 1896. The round, modeled after the .32 S&W cartridge, was made for the S&W Model 1896 Hand Ejector revolver, a precursor to the modern day Magnum handguns.

An extended version of the .32 Smith & Wesson cartridge, the case is a straight-walled, rimmed centerfire – similar to the .32 H&R Magnum and .327 Federal Magnum case diameter, but shorter in length.

Those of us who did not live through the Great Depression and World War II or perhaps the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1961 probably have not seen a period of time where outside forces have combined to make so many feel so unsafe. Without personal safety, enjoyment of the freedoms and liberties our country allows us to experience is not possible. Which is why the protection of the citizenry from threat, both foreign and domestic, has always been the prime mover for populations to form governments.

It’s not really a “head scratcher” to comprehend why Americans want to protect their property and lives from looters and the mob. Why a reporter can breezily fabricate history under the banner of one of the nation’s most-widely read newspapers, on the other hand, definitely qualifies.

As we saw last week with Twitter presuming to fact-check an opinion expressed by President Trump, the legacy media – now in collaboration with tech platforms that constitute the modern public square – still pathetically cling to the idea that they are perceived as a source of “truth” by America at large. Polls, however, show that a majority of Americans do not trust the media to report the news accurately.

A black front sight provides the traditional textbook sight picture, but that tome was written years ago. Is it still the ultimate solution? Experts at TruGlo and HiViz explain why their palettes don’t rival Sherwin Williams, but let’s start with the basics, first. “A black front sight on a carry/self-defense handgun is not necessarily ideal as it does not help front-sight focus in all lighting conditions, especially in a situation of increased stress,” according to Trevor Young, director of sales at HiViz. “Adding contrast is key as it helps acquire the front sight in your peripheral vision long before a solid-black sight would.

When the .32 Magnum first arrived I did not take it seriously. My friend Joe Penner, who takes all the pictures of me shooting, changed this as he acquired one of the first 9-1/2 Ruger Single-Sixes available. We loaded up some JHPs and searched for suitable targets. I found some out-of-date cans of split-pea soup and since I donft like the stuff anyhow, I figured it would be great for experimenting. Putting a jacketed hollowpoint through the first can at 25 yards changed my mind about the little Mighty Mouse Magnum.

By March 1st, 1945, the Third Reich was collapsing. As we informed our readers earlier, Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister, took advantage of the suspension of Parliament to declare a ban on what he described as “military grade assault weapons.” The implementing regulations (“Orders in Council”) apply to over 1,500 models and “variants” of guns that have been used for decades for lawful hunting, competitive shooting, and other recreational uses.

Remington Tac-13: One of 2019's Top-Selling Guns

Remington introduced its V3 Tac-13 late in 2018, bucking the firearm industry’s more traditional trend of rolling out new guns at the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show or the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits. The company knew it had a winner capable of earning headlines on its own, though. It was listed as the second-most popular semi-automatic shotgun in sales on Gunbroker.com during 2019. However, this description is misleading, as the Tac-13 is, legally and technically speaking, not a shotgun at all. In its current configuration, it's a non-NFA, shotshell-firing firearm.

Some guys want to carry a status symbol in the field; others just want a reliable shotgun that’s no cause for concern when it’s ravaged by briars and beaten to hell in the cargo rack of an ATV. That’s Stoeger’s M3500. Stoeger Industries is a division of firearms owned by the Beretta dynasty but made in Turkey. Its products fall under the design, distribution and purview of Benelli USA—also owned by Beretta—and this explains the similarities shared by its shotguns and those of Benelli's.

The technological advancement that’s going to open muzzleloader hunting up to a whole wave of new people is a polyethylene capsule that’s filled with black powder. So … not exactly space-age technology. While the product itself might not be super advanced tech, the idea behind it is pretty brilliant.
