However, if you need sub-MOA match-grade ammo ready to go out of the box, then you need to get your hands on some Sako Ammunition.

The U.S. Supreme Court announced July 2 that it would not review challenges to Illinois' new law that makes it a felony to possess what the state brands as "assault weapons," a term that is defined to include AR-15s. Petitioners had sought a preliminary injunction against the law's enforcement, arguing that it violates their Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.

“We have never squarely addressed what types of weapons are ‘Arms’ protected by the Second Amendment,” Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas noted in his statement on the Court’s July 2 denial of petitions for writs of certiorari in HARREL v. RAOUL, a challenge to the State of Illinois’ so-called “assault weapons” ban. The procedural sidestepping means the edict will continue to be enforceable, a decision on a right denied will continue to be delayed, and American citizens will continue to be at risk of having their lives destroyed for daring to claim their right to keep and bear arms.

As the Supreme Court recently illustrated in vivid terms, and as millions of women in America well know, gun violence is directly connected to women’s health and freedom. For 30 years, federal law has disarmed domestic abusers who are subject to domestic violence protection orders. Last month, in United States v. Rahimi, the Supreme Court rejected the gun lobby’s effort to upend that status quo. But make no mistake: This Supreme Court, along with lower courts attempting to follow its flawed precedents, remains a grave threat to the health and safety of women and countless others.

Tennessee-based S&W on Tuesday debuted a new line of integrally compensated M&P 9mm handguns for 2024. The Carry Comp Series pistols include a Shield Plus 4-inch barreled model as well as M&P 2.0 4.22-inch barrel models, with the latter offered in both in metal and polymer frame configurations. The key feature that sets these guns apart from the rest of Smith's catalog is what the company calls its "Power Port," located at the end of the barrel at the 12-o’clock position, which is designed to divert gas upward, hence reducing felt recoil, which in turn improves overall control and yields faster follow-up shots.

The very first cartridge I handloaded carried a bullet cast by myself. As a complete novice, my only source for information was gleaned from firearms magazines. In such reading, it seemed the only designs of cast bullets worthy of shooting through handgun barrels were full and semi-wadcutters; the first for paper punching and the second for all other handgun shooting.

An average of 19 guns were taken per day at TSA checkpoints, as law-abiding citizens exercise their fundamental rights, yet remain reckless in not properly securing their firearms before entering the terminals at airports.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
Today the taxing power, rather than chattel slavery, is the instrument by which the parasitical element of the population subsists. And that element, which includes politicians, panics at the slightest reduction in the state's power to plunder. Once you start liberating taxpayers, even a little tiny bit, nobody knows where it may end. —Joseph Sobran
