The incident report said Victorero wrote: "I warned you to stay away from my kids."

Rolando Victorero also emailed Fajardo: "Ain't no one gonna stop me from whooping you when I see you. … keep thinking ... until I make you disappear … just fight me … let me get some anger out on you."

The investigation concluded that "Kelvin Fajardo actually believed that the danger was real ... because of threats or prior difficulties with Rolando Victorero, (Fajardo) had reasonable grounds to believe that he was in danger of death or great bodily harm … and the use of deadly force was justified."

A Donald Trump Jr.-backed online gun retailer went public on the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday and the president’s son spoke to FOX Business about what that means for Second Amendment advocates in the United States.

Trump Jr. along with his business partner, Omeed Malik, helped take GrabAGun public on Wednesday in a move Trump’s son told FOX Business symbolizes the repudiation of anti-gun "woke" policies that have gained a foothold over the last few years.

The federal government can disarm anyone in the country illegally.

That’s the unanimous decision a three-judge panel on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals handed down on Wednesday. It convicted Heriberto Carbajal-Flores, a Mexican citizen who didn’t have authorization to be in the United States at the time of his arrest, for illegally possessing a gun. The panel concluded that the federal law barring illegal immigrants from owning firearms falls within America’s historical tradition of firearm regulations.

The South Dakota Board of Regents approved a policy on Thursday in Brookings allowing people with enhanced permits to carry concealed pistols on the state’s public university campuses.

“This is something that we don’t take lightly,” said Regents Executive Director Nathan Lukkes.

The policy was necessitated by a law that took effect July 1, after lawmakers approved it during this year’s winter legislative session in Pierre. The prior policy prohibited guns and other dangerous weapons on campuses.

Kirk said Illinois’ case from the Southern District could be “the full Monty," exactly what the U.S. Supreme Court is looking for.

“Because it has a magazine ban and it has a platform ban, and it also has an unlawful gun registry all wrapped into one piece of legislation,” he said.

Kirk said also notable in the case is a filing from the U.S. Department of Justice siding with plaintiffs that the law is unconstitutional.

GUN ownership is always a highly debated topic. With strong opinions on both sides, it is crucial to understand the importance of having a firearm. This concept goes beyond merely owning a gun; it encompasses safety, education, mental health awareness and community impact. Responsible gun ownership ensures that individuals and communities can coexist peacefully while upholding the rights of lawful gun owners. Our Constitution does not explicitly contain the right to bear arms but our enabling laws do. Republic Act 10591 allows Filipinos to own and possess guns subject to its provisions.

On the morning after the 2016 presidential election, when my husband and I turn on NPR to hear confirmation that Donald Trump has won, my husband carefully sets his coffee cup down, takes a deep breath, and says, “We should buy a gun.”

I scoff. I shake my head. Push myself away from the table a little bit. “Oh, come on,” I reply. “I don’t think that’s really necessary.”

There is an unpleasant frisson of fear in the back of my mind, but I can’t tell if I am afraid of the idea of a gun in the house or of what the ascendancy of a hate-mongering right wing might portend.

I decide on the former. “Besides, we have kids now!”

A Pennsylvania woman and two gun-rights groups have sued the U.S. Postal Service and other federal agencies, arguing that a nearly century-old law preventing people from mailing handguns violates the Second Amendment.

The lawsuit, filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Pittsburgh, claims the federal law, dating to 1927, is a remnant from the Prohibition era that no longer aligns with current understandings of gun rights.

Plaintiff Bonita Shreve, who lives in Blair County, Pennsylvania, stated she wants to mail a handgun to her father in eastern Pennsylvania as a gift. She said that because private shipping companies like UPS and FedEx do not allow individuals to ship handguns, the U.S. Postal Service is her only option.

For those who haven’t heard yet, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, likely with a 2028 presidential run at the top of his mind, is trying to rebrand himself as a supporter of the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.

On July 11, Newsom was given a handgun by podcast host Shawn Ryan. And Newsom was thrilled with the California-compliant Sig Sauer P365 X-Macro Ryan gave him, saying, “I gotta report this gift, man. This is too cool. The fact that you’d give me this.”

The South Dakota Board of Regents voted 9-0 Thursday to update its policy to comply with a new state law that allows students and others to carry concealed weapons on campus.

The change, which also includes where weapons are not allowed, aligns regental policy with Senate Bill 100 (SB 100), which went into effect July 1. It passed during this year's legislative session and was one of many topics on the agenda at the meeting Wednesday and Thursday at South Dakota State University in Brookings.

The 69-year-old shooting victim, Joseph Lewis, made threats and punched the driver, according to deputies.

“The first thing I thought was, ‘This is not something that happens in our small town,’” said neighbor Kim Legere. “That we’re a very tight-knit community.”

Greatly increased fees for concealed carry permit applicants have led to three gun-rights organizations joining forces to alleviate the burden on law-abiding New Jersey residents who wish to carry a firearm for self-defense.

After the 2022 ruling in New York Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen, Garden State lawmakers hiked the cost of a concealed carry permit to $200. Currently, $50 of the fee is paid directly to the Superintendent of the State Police, while the other $150 is paid to the applicant’s municipality.

Gun rights advocacy groups are suing the United States Postal Service (USPS), the Justice Department, and several government officials over a federal statute barring American citizens from mailing handguns.

The lawsuit challenges a 1927 law that prohibits those who do not possess a federal firearms license (FFL) from sending handguns to other people through the mail. If the plaintiffs are successful, it could be a significant victory for gun rights.

The battle over the meaning of “the people” in the Second Amendment just got a big update. In a unanimous 3-0 decision, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit ruled this week that illegal aliens have no constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

This landmark case—United States v. Carbajal-Flores—was brought after Heriberto Carbajal-Flores, a Mexican citizen unlawfully in the U.S., was arrested for firing a pistol in Chicago during the 2020 riots. He argued that the Second Amendment protected his right to carry a gun for self-defense.

A federal judge today rejected a Revere man's argument that the Second Amendment gave him the right to obtain the guns a Vermont man was going to sell him in the parking lot of the Murphy Skating Rink on Day Boulevard in 2019, only to be interrupted by BPD gang and SWAT officers, state troopers, postal inspectors and DEA agents.

Glenn Lacedra has already completed his 19-month sentence for being a felon in possession of a firearm, handed down in 2020 after he pleaded guilty, but he remains on a two-year probationary period.

A federal appeals court on Thursday tossed a free speech lawsuit filed by the NRA against a former New York official, ruling the official is immune from the claims filed against her.

A three-judge panel on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit ruled that Maria Vullo, a former superintendent of New York‘s Department of Financial Services, is entitled to qualified immunity from the charges because there is no “clearly established” law she violated, as the NRA claims.

Night vision shooting and thermal hunting have become extremely popular in the last few years. Still expensive, prices are now at least attainable, but training opportunities are still lagging. More classes and competitions are popping up, but there aren’t many places to practice. Most public ranges close after dark, and even for people lucky enough to have property to shoot on, gunshots at night can disturb neighbors.
